If you read my post about finding the goodness in loss or hard moments I said I would share this video. My husband Doug has been at the top of this sport. He has won a state title, a NCAA title, the US Open, World Team trials, placed 5th at the world, and was an Olympian. Through all that he has experienced his fair share of losses and getting through them. Our son participated in his first HS state tournament and although he came up short taking home 2nd, Doug did not have a lack of words to share with other parents who have or will go through it from his new perspective of a parent of a HS athlete. So much goodness packed into this. I challenge every parent to watch it, especially those with kids in some sort of even/sport that they compete in. Doug not only talks about validating your child's feelings because of the work it took to get there, but he speaks to the things he as an athlete experienced just now from the perspective of a parent of a High School kid. By far this is one of his best talks and knowing how his heart hurt for his kid, while probably tuning back into some of his own losses made this even more relatable. I know one thing- I'm lucky that our kids, both our own and the ones that will be joining us at UNI eventually have someone like him under the tunnel in these moments. Although my heart ached matside and I was probably 30 yards from my kid in one of his most vulnerable and defeating moments, I knew he didn't need me, he needed him. Doug Schwab

I did not know that it was my parrotlet Sokka’s last day today but it was at least a good one. He was on his playstand and playing in his paper bag fort while I was cooking. He doesn’t get fruit often because of the sugar content but I gave him some mango, to which he replied “om nom nom” in his tiny voice. which I taught him to say years ago when eating. I thought about what kind of fruit cake I could make him for his 10th birthday next month. But lucky for him I was also cooking peppers. Pepper seeds are his favorite thing on the planet and though I usually only give him one pepper’s worth today he got two. He was his normal peppy self most of the day. He had had two suspected seizure/stroke episodes starting exactly a year ago and this looked very much like this. They lasted half an hour and then he was back to being his spunky self again. I consulted the vet both times. I gave him a vitamin supplement the vet prescribed that I thought was working well. She did warn me that they could continue but he seemed to be doing well with the vitamins. I was just about to grab dinner down the street when I noticed he was quiet and standing at his food dish but not eating. Thank goodness I noticed so I could be there for him. I called up the emergency vet and let them know we were coming. Then Sokka got to have one last car ride. Sokka loved the car. He was always well behaved and we did many road trips together Including driving from Texas to Connecticut. On our way to the vet Sokka was very weak and fighting to stay conscious and was resting his head against the back of the carrier. But at one point he used all his strength to move to the front of the carrier so he could watch the sunset with me. I kept telling him “you’re a big bird!” and “he’s so cute!” because those are some of his favorite phrases to say, and during previous episodes he would say it back to me as he was recovering. I was half expecting him to fully recover before we got to the vet as he had done the other two times. But this time he wasn’t getting better and I could tell. We got to the vet and she said I did everything right but was not optimistic. Limiting stress is important with birds especially 1oz ones bc it can worsen their condition so she gave me my options for treatment and one of them was humane euthanasia. I held him in my hands and pet him knowing it could be the last time. I selected the option to see if the vet hospital could do anything for him. But shortly after I started driving he passed on the way to the vet hospital. At least he died doing what he loved, going for a ride in the car. I am relieved I did not have to make the most difficult choice to end his life for him, and that he went quickly and peacefully with a full belly of pepper seeds and mango and during one last sunset car ride. Some people will think “it’s just a bird” but those who know me understand how much he meant to me and how intelligent parrots are. Parrotlets are know for being a big personality in a tiny body. I got him a month after I graduated college and he’s been with me nearly 10 years since so basically my whole adult life. He was a big responsibility (that i don’t recommend to ppl without an exotic avian husbandry background) but I didn’t mind and now I feel a hole where those duties and companionship are no longer. If you actually read all or some of this, thank you, it means a lot to me, really. Going to be spending the next weeks just trying to ground myself and not fuck up my mental health again. I’ll share a separate more happy post about my favorite memories when I’m in the mood. For now here’s my favorite video of him even though he’s not speaking in it, and some baby pics from the first day I met him in 2014 in the comments.

I’m putting this up again because I feel it was disrespectful to Benjamin to take it down for the slight chance he could be right. There are a couple things on why I’m putting this up again. 1) Why the fuck is Israel bombing again 2) If Trump would not be inaugurated outside due to his life threats, why is he announcing he will be at the Super Bowl to make himself and thousands a target? Everything Wayne Rooney, Joe Hart and Micah Richards described about ball retention and controlling games is exactly what Kobbie Mainoo brings. Tuchel’s decision to start Declan Rice and Elliot Anderson shouldn’t be viewed as kobbie Mainoo not being good enough. It's over. In this video, Abroad in Japan flat out admits that he had been living in Japan for 10 years and does not speak Japanese. So after defaming a friend of mine (Oriental Pearl) and talking about how he is so in tune with the Japanese because he is a local, the whole time, his Japanese was so bad that he could not even understand the local news. This smug asshat had the audacity to call Oriental Pearl a lying grifter who is misrepresenting Japan when he doesn't even know enough Japanese to fact check her. Oh and then he cut the audio out of a moment where she was laughing uncomfortably because she was being sexually harassed and then pasted it with different footage to make it look like she was laughing at the homeless. By the way, this moment where he admits his Japanese is beginner level is at the end of the video where less than half the viewers will see it. You know, so that way he can go around masquerading as someone who can handle complex conversations with Ken Watanabe or Hyde followed by not showing the parts where he is having someone translate for him because he can't understand what they are saying. This guy is a massive fraud and I know he is intentionally hiding it because everyone and their grandmother thought he was fluent until I said something on my YouTube channel. Now he will use this term "conversationally fluent" which I think a lot of people believe means he can handle basically any conversation that you would see in your normal life. I think he purposefully says that to misrepresent his actual skill level to people who don't know anything about language learning. He even openly admitted in this video that he regularly misrepresents how long he has been in Japan so that people won't judge him negatively for not learning their language. S when Chris says "conversationally fluent" what he actually means is he has the language ability of a 7 year. Sure he'll understand you when you talk but if you say ANYTHING complex, he can't understand you. Also when he says, "I'm conversationally fluent" he is saying that he is illiterate. You know all of those videos of Kai Cenat humbling himself to become a better reader? That level of reading is vastly better than Chris's reading level in Japanese. I mean this absolute liar while go out there and pretend he is prepping for the JLPT N1 like he is a master of Japanese yet 2 years after that video comes out, here he is saying his Japanese is ass and he's basically a beginner and hasn't studied in 8 years. Then this year he says, "Actually I completely failed the JLPT N2 when I tried to take it 11 years ago but it was because someone's cellphone went off in the middle of the test. That magically made me forget all of my Japanese." Well, it's not like he's the only one in that friend group who can't speak Japanese. His terrorist supporting friend Connor can't speak Japanese either. Neither can Garnt. After 6 years. None of these people in this group outside of Joey, who grew up speaking the language, actually respects Japan enough to do the most basic thing which is learn the language. Yet they'll be like, "Yeah, I wouldn't go back to England. That place sucks."

Analyzing Episode 35. Season 2 aka Turning the Tables Alrighty, let's do this. Episode 35 was one of the strongest episodes of season 2, I think, because we get to see Ciho and Alya kind of switch places, for once. In s1, Alya would mostly pick flight when her feelings got overwhelming. Whereas Ciho, with his Ağa mindset, would inevitably choose to fight. But, unlike in s1, the circumstances are unique. We see the tables turn because Alya probably hasn't loved anyone before like she loves Cihan, and Cihan hasn't ever come across a test as heavy as the half-alive Boran. So, essentially, they're both out of their comfort zones. Let's discuss Alya first. My love for this character just keeps growing. I've yet to see someone be as principled and willing to break the rules, as strong and soft at the same time, as Alya Albora. The woman is a marvel. We must protect her at all costs (Get in line, Ciho). As the episode begins, Alya walks off to their room and proceeds to lock herself in Cihan's study after informing everyone about Cihan's not-so-tiny health problem. I think being the smart cookie she is, she realizes early on that Cihan will be his stubborn self about the surgery business, which is why something of a plan is already forming in her head. When Cihan shows up to talk, Alya doesn't back down from telling him she knows exactly why he's walking to almost certain death. Still, she only brings out the big guns after pleading with him to review his decision doesn't work. Her goal isn't to hurt him. It's to save him. To shock him enough to wake from the limbo Cihan has isolated himself in. When her words fail to achieve their target, she acts. I'm pretty damn sure she knows exactly what she's going to do as she's packing her clothes to leave the mansion. Alya refuses to leave Cihan's side even in the worst of circumstances, so her walking out when he's about to risk his life is completely out of character. And not only that, before leaving, she tells Cihan she doesn't want to talk to him or see him until he changes his mind about becoming the donor. See? Smart. She's doing everything she can to keep him from monitoring her movements (like he generally does :D). She's learned to read her husband, so much so that she turns his tactics on him. And Cihan never picks up on it. And watching her in action is poetry in motion - beautiful and heartbreaking at the same time. Because this time, the one person she can always count on for support isn't with her. She's fighting for Cihan, for their love, all on her own. Even though they promise each other they'd face whatever obstacles come their way together as they leave the airport in ep 29. While everyone gathers to wish Cihan well before the operation, Alya walks through those corridors alone. She has no one to calm her fears, no one to soothe her brow. No one tells her they'll be praying for her quick recovery. And that hurts like a son of a bitch. Because Alya has such a capacity for love and giving, she doesn't hesitate to take huge risks for the people she loves. On the other hand, she has no one other than Cihan to do the same for her. He's her other half. And there's no way in hell she'd stand back and watch him destroy himself. Her devotion and resolve are crystal clear when she speaks to Cihan while he's sedated. Still, I think some of her loneliness and desperation bleeds through her words to her husband. Almost as if something deep inside her cries out for him to wake up and choose her - like she's choosing him. Over everyone. Even her own life. Speaking of choosing, let's pause here and pivot to Cihan Bey. Cihan, like all of us, is a product of his upbringing, his environment, and his personal beliefs. Two of those three things are extremely toxic and warped. Not to mention, the guilt that's eating him alive is a product of those two things. They say when you're undergoing feelings of intense guilt, you tend to fluctuate between two states - suppression and surrender. When you suppress, you tell yourself you're fine. Everything's okay. Things are best this way type of stuff. In fact, I want you to remember this phrase. Then, there's surrender - moments of lucidity where you realize you're falling apart, that this isn't what you want at all. You're flooded by emotions and longing about what you're denying yourself. And that's something you see in Cihan over and over in this episode. He keeps fluctuating from one state to the other, and I don't think he even realizes what he's about to do to himself and Alya by wanting to go through with that operation. Take the scene where they're talking in their room before Alya leaves. On the one hand, Cihan tells Alya he has responsibilities to his family, and on the other, he can't see how his decision will affect Alya and Deniz. Then, when Cihan tries talking to Alya when he's driving her to work, he tells her he doesn't want to sacrifice their love, but in the next instance, he tells her he won't lose her 'in his heart' even if Boran wakes up. You see the inconsistency? He keeps switching between what he truly wants and the things might be best this way mindset. Surrender and suppression. Like when he keeps seeking her out at every turn, but insists on undergoing a surgery that will almost certainly kill him. The guilt inside him builds like pressure almost. He tries to suppress it until it spills over, revealing his true feelings, then he panics and moves back to suppression again. This keeps repeating until he wakes up to discover that Alya is the one undergoing the surgery. That's when the cycle finally breaks. Because when he's faced with the reality of losing Alya forever, he finally accepts the core truth driving his guilt - he fell in love with his brother's wife. Sure, he thinks Boran is dead and gone when it happens, but guilt doesn't really follow logic. That's why Alya being the donor and almost losing her life forces him to accept the love he feels for Alya is part of him now. There is no fighting it, there is no changing it. There is only accepting it. And his speech to Boran before he sees Alya is proof of his surrender. Because he finally admits that his bond with Alya isn't about choice anymore, he doesn't control the love; it controls him now. In front of Boran, no less. He finally looks his guilt in the face and starts to overcome it. That's why we see him initiating the kiss in their room. He's not overcome by self-reproach when he thinks of touching Alya intimately now. All very, very positive signs. And, let's not forget, when he sees his entire family conspired behind his back to allow Alya to be the donor, he understands another sold truth. He is the only family Alya has apart from Deniz. Which makes Alya's sacrifice all the more powerful. Because he realizes that she kept her part of the bargain. She kept fighting for them, even when he didn't. Hopefully, this is the moment where Cihan stops running and starts choosing. Alya didn’t just save his life physically; she forced him to confront the part of himself he kept buried. More revelations are coming out about Jim Goad, including the revelation that the criticism people leveled at him online---including myself---may have played a role in the crushing depression that led him to take his own life. In his podcast yesterday memorializing Goad, Gavin McInnes states that he believes Goad's 2024 debate with Owen Benjamin broke Goad mentally. Not only is he visibly tired and flustered during the debate, Benjamin accused Goad of abandoning his severely autistic son. According to McInnes, after the debate, Goad told McInnes, "He's right. I did abandon my son." Apparently this was the first time Goad ever conceded that one of his critics was right about him. McInnes---a close friend of Goad's---also claims "in many ways, he was already dead. Last time I spoke to him, I had solutions to his problems, but he wasn't interested." I was the one who discovered what Goad did to his son all the way back in 2018; around the time of the infamous Luke Ford stream (where me, Nick Fuentes, Baked Alaska, and a bunch of others clowned on Goad for hours), a local Atlanta TV station ran a story about how Goad's then ten-year-old son had formed a bond with a local Santa. Goad had split up with his wife Shannon some years before, admitting in one of his podcasts that he was the one who filed for divorce. Goad was so angered by this expose that he recorded and published a phone call with his ex-wife where he refuted the idea that he was a "deadbeat dad." Nobody accused him of being a deadbeat. He was accused of abandoning his disabled son to be raised in a broken home. Goad's self-image of a dedicated truth-telling emotionally unaffected loner and his critics being jilted fans was a carefully constructed lie. He was extremely sensitive to criticism and carefully curated his online image. This included trying to deplatform his critics (as he tried to do to me; in addition to false-flagging my YouTube channel, he successfully got me banned from Medium and may have gotten my website taken down in 2019 through false reports to my webhost), viciously attacking anyone who criticized him even mildly, no matter how obscure they were (as Andy Nowicki reveals in a recent video), and manipulating others into defending him publicly. If you ever got into an online argument with Jim Goad and he felt like he was losing (aka every argument), you'd immediately get dogpiled by a bunch of his friends and exes backing him up. Goad even severed relationships with people he felt were insufficiently willing to defend his honor. For years, he bragged that my ex Ann Sterzinger was going to write a tell-all book about me that would completely destroy my reputation, most recently in a 2022 podcast with Greg Johnson (I believe he ALSO brought it up in an 2023 interview with Ethan Ralph, but don't quote me on that). Sterzinger confessed in private messages that Goad pushed her to write the book to "save his reputation" and became violently angry with her when she never finished it. She also denounced him as a narcissist following the end of their friendship, accused him of lying, said he would complain about "how the fame he pretends he never really wanted never really came his way," and claimed that in 2018, he manipulated her into "pretend[ing] to be OK after being raped" so he could use her as a weapon in his upcoming "debate" with me. Sterzinger also admits that Goad would privately shit-talk his supposed "friends," claiming he shit-talked Gavin McInnes to her and shit-talked her to McInnes. This is corroborated by emails I exchanged with Goad's former friend/co-host Keith Lee. Keith also stated back in 2018 that Goad was "losing control" due to his inability to curate how he was perceived online. Does any of this diminish Goad's influence as a writer? No. But the reality that he lied about himself and others constantly and sought to destroy anyone who criticized him was a consistent feature of his personality. The fact that me and others may have played a role in his depression and suicide makes me feel terrible, even if I was justified in attacking him for what he tried to do to me. I discussed this with a friend and he hypothesized that as Goad's health worsened, it stripped him of his usual coping mechanisms and forced him to confront his personal traumas and lifelong abusive behavior, and he simply couldn't cope. The real bomb in his brain was not his tumor, but his guilt. In any event, if there's an afterlife, I hope he's found some peace.

Before he could even take his first steps, life had already thrown him into a fight. Diagnosed with stage-two chronic kidney disease before birth, doctors once told his parents he might not live beyond the age of 12. Weekly hospital visits, constant ultrasounds, and strict dietary routines were as much a part of his childhood as his love for the game... While most players focus on tackling the opposition, Green often had to battle his own body; pushing through frequent cramps caused by his chronic kidney condition while still standing tall at the crease... And yet, the boy who was expected to remain small grew into a giant. Not just in height, but in heart, hunger, and humility... He never asked for special treatment. In fact, most around him didn’t even know about his condition. Not even Justin Langer, who had known him since he was 15. Green just kept showing up. Quietly, consistently, determinedly... From becoming the youngest player to take a five-wicket haul in the Sheffield Shield to rebuilding himself into a reliable middle-order batter after injuries, Cameron Green’s journey is one of resilience and evolution... Since 2021, while batting in the middle order, he has scored 1143 Test runs at average of 39.4. That average climbs to an impressive 46 in outside home Tests. Many seasoned specialist batters have struggled to maintain even a 35 average during this same period... So, life update that worries me... Didn't sleep well last night. Was too worried if this drunk and drugged-up native was going to come back. My daughter took the garbage out and forgot to lock the door when she came inside. This guy showed up about 10 minutes later, and walked into my house. We were both just in our sleep shirts, relaxing, she in the living room and I was in ny bedroom working on an article Im posting shortly. I came scrambling out of my bedroom and found this guy plastered drunk standing in my kitchen. I immediately forced him out the door into the porch and closed the door behind me, putting myself between him and the door. He was so drunk he couldn't speak words, just mumbled. I calmly told him to get lost. He just smiled and stared at me with all his tear drop tattoos next to his eyes scrunching up. I told him again to leave. He stood there looking stupid. Finally I told him if he didnt leave I would call the cops, then I turned around, went inside, locked the door and retrieved my firearm. I had enough time to load ammo into a clip, get the trigger lock off my firearm and get back to the front of the house to find him sitting in the car still. I was waiting to see if he was leaving, or coming back. Because he gave off a vibe that he was willing to get violent for whatever he was pursuing. Just after Dave died, a white vehicle showed up and parked next door on the road at the abandoned property. A man came to my door and kept trying to get me to go to his vehicle to "look at something". Of course I didnt go with him, but it was enough to get me to hire an electrician to install the security cameras, especially after my kid's bow was stolen. I have 3 more cameras to go up still. But since Dave passed away I have to hire people to do these things and, well, its not cheap or easy and definitely hard to find someone with the time in their schedule to fit me in. I showed this video clip to a person I know here in town, who informed me this guy and his friend were revived multiple times over the weekend from fentanyl overdoses. All I know is the guy was so plastered if I lit a match while he talked he would have become a human mmolatov.i have no idea who drove him. As soon as the snow is gone, I will be fortifying my property like its a military compound so the next time one of these fuckers shows up word will spread real quick not to mess with "The Widow" as I've learned I am called in this town. Thoughts on “real” training: Unfortunately, military, law enforcement, and civilians still find themselves shooting, quite slowly, different sized dots at 5 yards, nearly always while standing in front of the target before going dry and conducting a comedic / exaggerated / inefficient reload and finishing with a good (albeit rehearsed) scan of their local firing range. Or dumping a mag on a VTAC and admiring their group after a 2 yard walk. Shooting while moving must be conducted mostly while doing CQB with slow pies or it doesn’t translate to combat. Don’t forget up drills. Quite tactical. Allegedly. Let’s pause here. Imagine for a second if an NFL wide receiver trained roughly the same but for his requirements. Said receiver only trains receptions by catching balls thrown slowly and directly at him. He scans for defenders post catch, every time or he’ll never see them in a game. Speaking of which, he only practices sprinting is when he is running plays. If he sprints without running a play, it’ll most certainly lead to bad habits. As a matter of fact, it doesn’t really matter how fast he can move or how high he can jump, as long as he knows the playbook he’ll most certainly outwit his opponents. Best to keep skill development slow, smooth, and safe so it doesn’t negatively impact his strategy. Absurd. Pretend now it’s 4th down, 4th quarter. Down by 3, out of field goal range. Clement Ang achieved 150%+ returns this year in the USIC. One of my favorite follows, Clement is inpsired by the likes of Minvervini, Gil Morales, Jeff Sun, Oliver Kell, Qullamaggie, and others. Here are 6 great takeaways from his recent Traderlion Interview: 1. Never Giving Up After a mix of shorting along with overtrading, revenge trading, and trading on tilt, Clement found himself in a 60-70% drawdown. He distinctly remembers sitting at his condo pool, having no idea how he would recover. Contemplating if he should give up, and if trading was for him for not. He took a 1-2 month break and rebounded by studying how stocks move, building his own modelbook, studying top traders, and coming up with rules for himself. 2. Loss Analysis and Stopping Drawdowns At a dinner with USIC top performer Christian Flanders, Clement was recommended to 1) cut size when losing until you find traction again, and 2) do monthly loss adjustment exercises. "Hypothetically, if you change all those negative months to just -5%, what would your eventual return be?" Doing this, Clement saw the importance of minimizing drawdown. This was a turning point for Clement. He decided to join the USIC again for 2025, and his returns relfected the drawdown control this time around. 3. Calculating Agregate Profit and Loss for Trades He Shouldn't Have Taken Clement took a total of 1,294 trades in 2025. Out of the 1,294, he found he was able to back out of about 500 trades that were not proper trades. When calculating the aggregate PnL for those trades, trades taken for reasons such as there was no setup but he felt FOMO, or an overtrading problem, he found it was a huge chunk. By removing for those 500 trades, he saw it boosted his profitability. Clement suggests to calculate what your returns would be if you removed for those trades. This is to bring into your consciousness not to make those same mistakes again. 4. Weekly and Monthly Reviews Leaving his corporate job and becoming a full time trader in 2025, it imposed more pressure on him to perform. The pressure spurred him to take his reviews very seriously. With every trade he logs, he reviews them on a weekly basis. On each trade, you want to be tagging. “Which trades are mistakes, and what exactly is the mistake. Which trades did you execute well, and why - was it a perfect steup, what was the market like at the time.” At the end of the month, do a monthly write up. Doing so, you can really take a look back and see how you performed against your opportunity set. 5. Study Great Traders and Market History Clement noticed the top traders say the same thing but in a different manner. Clement found traders he wanted to study. Love and Deepspace story writing is honestly breathtaking. LONG POST AND SPOILERS AHEAD! Xavier's 3rd myth "Where Stars Scatter" was so emotionally impactful-- I have not been this impressed in a game's story writing since FFXIV Shadowbringers. Xavier's story alone deserves its own video game. Please listen to these story beats and watch this video as it truly is an epic fantasy😭 -A benevolent Queen sacrifices herself to sustain the life of the planet, called Philos. Humans are sacrificed as offerings to the planet to keep the life force of the planet afloat, ultimately making them almost immortal -The Queen wants to stop this cycle by offering herself as she has the equivalent of a life force of the Universe resting within her heart. -The man she loves, Prince Xavier, knows of this secret of the planet and determines to set things right. -He gathers a crew and travels across time and space to find a way to save her and stop this endless cycle of sacrifice. He tells her he will be back, but he is not sure when. -He does not succeed to stop the cycle, and when he finally returns to his timeline, the Queen is dead. -He mourns her for centuries, never forgetting her, never marrying, crippled by the grief of failing her. However, the people of Philos begin to forget who she was and what she even did for humanity. -Prince Xavier ends up becoming King but is stuck between a perpetual war between the living and dead, now called the "Mad King" because he shuts himself out to anyone and anything. He wields a sword that can kill the dead, and only he can use it. With the Queen long gone, the planet reverts to needing sacrifices to sustain its life. -After centuries, the Queen is awakened again somehow, but she does not remember who she is, nor does she remember who King Xavier is. All she knows is that she wants to return to Philos. The land that she wakes up in is called Sinderfell and is in perpetual darkness. -King Xavier pretends he doesn't know her, but deep down he does and yearns to be with her. He saves her several times from fanatical revenants and the undead. -The Queen falls in love with him once again, and slowly her memories return to her. He knows who she is and gives her time to remember him, but he still deeply loves her and is loyal only to her. However, he knows that the world in which they live in is doomed. -In Sinderfell, there is a "Pilgrimage" that happens each year where people are chosen to look for the Tree of Life, which is said to grant immortality. -This ceremony actually turns out to be the same with humans being sent to be sacrifices for the planet yet again. -The Queen finds out the truth about this and decides to stop this once and for all, where supposedly the Tree of Life stems from. She finds that the river and the cave that it leads to is lined with corpses of those who were sacrificed to become monsters (Wanderers) -The Tree of Life does exist, and it is akin to a kind of energy force of not just the planet but the universe itself. However, the Queen herself has that same energy coursing in her body (this is also prevalent in the overarching main story of Love and Deepspace) -The Tree of Life gives her a choice: return to a divergence point Prince Xavier created in the fabric of time when he traveled back to try to find a way to save the Queen from sacrificing herself. Or she could stay in this false world. She chooses to return to the divergence point. -Her decision causes the destruction of the current Philos, which leads to an all out war. -She rushes back to King Xavier and together they fight off the undead who have turned into Wanderers. However, because of her choice to go back to the divergence point in time, King Xavier knows that their time together is coming to an end -Before the world ends, the sun finally breaks through the darkness surrounding the world. King Xavier and the Queen imagine themselves in a field of yellow flowers and share a kiss. They are then shown back at the battlefield. -Because the Queen chose to return to the divergence point, she dies in King Xavier's arms as the world fades away -The Tree of Life thanks the Queen for choosing to be with Xavier as the divergence point would bring her back to him, and they could live out their lives together in happiness. -The story ends with a flashback of Xavier traveling the cosmos to find a solution to stop the endless cycle of sacrifice, but before he leaves, he records a short message to the Queen to tell her that he knows she will be a good Queen. And the Queen knows that Xavier will find her, in some place and time in this universe. --- I dunno about you, but all of that above is just the surface of the overarching story of Love and Deepspace as it's only one character's side story. I simplified a lot of the summary above, but it does paint such a vivid picture with amazing imagery and lore. The game has just brilliant writing, and the acting, music, visuals, and world building is phenomenal. Bravo 😭

MANY MAY KNOW THE HISTORY OF THE LAST POST, MANY DON"T. SO I POST THIS. Gentlemen, This is how the Last Post, a military band tune, heard by so many of us was conceived! If any of you have ever been to a military funeral in which The Last Post was played; This brings out a new meaning of it. Here is something everyone should know. Until I read this, I didn't know. We have all heard the haunting song: 'The Last Post.' It's the song that gives us the lump in our throats and usually tears in our eyes. Here is the story behind the song: Reportedly, it all began in 1862 during the American Civil War, when Union Army Captain Robert Ellicombe was with his men near Harrison's Landing in Virginia . The Confederate Army was on the other side of the narrow strip of land. During the night, Captain Ellicombe heard the moans of a soldier who lay severely wounded on the field. Not knowing if it was a Union or Confederate soldier, the Captain decided to risk his life and bring the stricken man back for medical attention. Crawling on his stomach through the gunfire, the Captain reached the stricken soldier and began pulling him toward his encampment. When the Captain finally reached his own lines, he discovered it was actually a Confederate (enemy) soldier, but the soldier was dead. The Captain lit a lantern and suddenly caught his breath and went numb with shock. In the dim light, he saw the face of the soldier.. It was his own son. The boy had been studying music in the South when the war broke out. Without telling his father, the boy enlisted in the Confederate Army. The following morning, heartbroken, the father asked permission of his superiors to give his son a full military burial, despite his enemy status. His request was only partially granted. The Captain had asked if he could have a group of Army band members play a funeral dirge for his son at the funeral. The request was turned down since the soldier was a Confederate(enemy camp). But, out of respect for the father, they did say they could give him only one musician. The Captain chose a bugler. He asked the bugler to play a series of musical notes he had found on a piece of paper in the pocket of the dead youth's uniform. This wish was granted. The haunting melody, we now know as 'The Last Post' used at military funerals was born. The words are: Day is done. Gone the sun.. From the lakes From the hills. From the sky. All is well. Safely rest. God is nigh. Fading light. Dims the sight. And a star. Gems the sky. Gleaming bright. From afar.. Drawing nigh. Falls the night.. Thanks and praise. For our days. Neath the sun Neath the stars. Neath the sky As we go. This we know. God is nigh... I too have felt the chills while listening to 'The Last Post' but never read all the words to the song until now. I didn't even know there was more than one verse. I also never knew the story behind the song and I didn't know if, You had either so I thought I'd pass it along. Not knowing if it was a Union or Confederate soldier, the Captain decided to risk his life and bring the stricken man back for medical attention. Crawling on his stomach through the gunfire, the Captain reached the stricken soldier and began pulling him toward his encampment. When the Captain finally reached his own lines, he discovered it was actually a Confederate (enemy) soldier, but the soldier was dead. The Captain lit a lantern and suddenly caught his breath and went numb with shock. In the dim light, he saw the face of the soldier.. It was his own son. The boy had been studying music in the South when the war broke out. Without telling his father, the boy enlisted in the Confederate Army. The following morning, heartbroken, the father asked permission of his superiors to give his son a full military burial, despite his enemy status. His request was only partially granted. The Captain had asked if he could have a group of Army band members play a funeral dirge for his son at the funeral. The request was turned down since the soldier was a Confederate(enemy camp). But, out of respect for the father, they did say they could give him only one musician. The Captain chose a bugler. He asked the bugler to play a series of musical notes he had found on a piece of paper in the pocket of the dead youth's uniform. This wish was granted. The haunting melody, we now know as 'The Last Post' used at military funerals was born. The words are: Day is done. Gone the sun.. From the lakes From the hills. From the sky. All is well. Safely rest. God is nigh. Fading light. Dims the sight. And a star. Gems the sky. Gleaming bright. From afar.. Drawing nigh. Falls the night.. Thanks and praise. For our days. Neath the sun Neath the stars. Neath the sky As we go. This we know. God is nigh... I too have felt the chills while listening to 'The Last Post' but never read all the words to the song until now. I didn't even know there was more than one verse. I also never knew the story behind the song and I didn't know if, You had either so I thought I'd pass it along. I now have an even deeper respect for the song than I did before. Remember Those Lost and Harmed While Serving Their Country.
