Fore! 55 years ago #OTD, Alan Shepard decided it was a nice day for some golf practice… on the Moon! In his spacesuit pocket, Shepard carried two golf balls and a 6-iron head he had specially made to connect to a lunar sampling tool.

NEW: Florida man caught with Whizzinator strapped to groin while heading to drug test James Shepard, 52, of Palm Coast, was arrested on July 14 after a deputy stopped him arriving for a court-ordered drug test. Shepard was already on felony probation for multiple burglaries and thefts. He was driving on a suspended license and had a fake urine device strapped to his groin. After deputies moved his handcuffs to the front, Shepard pulled the device out and tossed it onto the patrol car floorboard. He claimed it wasn’t his, but in-car camera footage caught the entire act.

A tough day for this dad. It’s senior day for Alan B. Shepard High School Baseball at Shepard High School. It’s the last game I’ll get to watch Colton play. He’s decided to not play beyond high school. It’s been so much fun watching him play the last ten years! Im so proud of him. First at bat tonight and he smoked a screaming double up the middle! 😃💪🏻❤️⚾️

I was lucky enough to play against AK in his prime and have never forgotten how he played golf, he had so much talent, was fearless, had every shot in the bag & made it look so much fun. It was exactly how I wanted to play. He was a world number 1 in the making! Getting to watch him today reminded me of the old AK, it was unreal golf & the most incredible comeback I’ve seen. Can’t wait for the movie!

Sterling Shepard more Saturdays until kickoff in Norman. On Shep’s Senior Night in 2015, Brian Bosworth gifted him a magazine with his father, Derrick Shepard, on the cover. It was also signed by the ‘85 National Championship team, which Derrick was a member of. It was an incredible gesture from one to legend to another. “He’s one of our own,” said Bosworth.

Noah Pfantz was diagnosed in-utero with a congenital heart defect and was closely monitored before and after he was born. He had open heart surgery at age 3. He lives with two congenital heart defects to this day. Noah started playing golf when he was 7. He is currently 14 years old and will join his High School golf team this fall. This week Noah got the chance to play a round with Notah Begay III in Des Moines! Principal Charity Classic Tournament
