There is great complementarity in our development aspirations as adopted continentally in AU’s Agenda 2063, in the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals and in Saudi’s Vision 2030. We must look into deepening cooperation, placing development financing high on the agenda of Saudi-Africa cooperation, so as to seize the opportunities presented in these visions for economic advancement.

China remains a developing country despite its progress China remains a developing country though it has achieved a miracle in economic growth and global trade gains, says Zhou Yongmei, Professor of Practice in Institutional Development at Peking University's Institute of South-South Cooperation and Development. Even as China's economy rises, its per capita GDP is only one-sixth that of the U.S., and there are differences in wealth across regions and between urban and rural areas. Zhou notes there is still much to be done to raise the overall development of the society.
