✨ Grok Imagine Video is now live on Photo AI It's hard to explain how impressive this is because of the speed that xAI got itself from literally nothing to the top of the leaderboards Six months ago Grok's video model was a joke, it wasn't even close to any of the video models out there, it looked cartoony and wasn't there and nobody took it seriously Now it's here and it's instantly the #1 video model out there now, it shot above Kling (which I used before on Photo AI and usually my favorite) and above Runway Gen 4.5 which was just launched 6 days ago! Mmore importantly it's now above xAI's biggest competitors' models: Google's Veo 3 and OpenAI's Sora 2 Being the best video model doesn't mean it's flawless: video is incredibly hard and actually because it looks so realistic now when it does make a mistakes it's even funnier One thing I noticed is that it still has a hard time with is voice, it does it well for a majority of the video but then slips up and produces unintelligible blabbering (which is really funny to hear) in both English (video 1: "it's where I find my naim", what's a "naim"?), and tested it in Portuguese too (video 3 at the end is unintelligible Portuguese I believe) In many ways Grok Imagine Video also reminds me of Sora, it has that weird but funny Sora conversation style But guys it's REALLY really really really close to getting perfect, we're so close to having full video productions being to be able done in AI, actually you already can if you just cut out the bad parts already Very exciting and I'm grateful I can experience this

⚔️ Kingdom Come Deliverance first impressions ⚔️ Loving it so far, basically a medieval detective simulator that really doesn't care that you are the main character. And I'm all here for it. ▪️The WORLD is the real star of the show here and even though it's got plenty of jank and lots of copy and paste NPC faces, it just feels so IMMERSIVE. Even the UI just transports me to the times with a bright colourful medieval art style. ▪️The MUSIC I love, absolutely sells the world and basically ASMR as you trot around on your horse through the world. ▪️THE Combat is a real interesting one, it's got quite the learning curve which I actually LIKE, it definitely has some jank to it as well but I really appreciate the attempt at an original and nuanced combat system. (Having to stop your bleeding with bandages is really cool) ▪️The Story has gripped me (19 hours in so far) And while it seems a simple revenge story on the face of it, I think the story is more about Henry making his way through the world after the horrors of Skallitz. The writing quality is top notch as well as the quest design also. ▪️The CHARACTERS are amazing and the humour is top notch. I'm not sure the last time I laughed so much at a game. Henry is great and so well voiced by Tom McKay This really feels like Warhorse Studios have put a lot of love and work into making an authentic medieval world and as a bit of a medieval nerd I can't get enough of this game. A True RPG as well by all accounts, the game really makes me think hard about how to approach situations. Also I can't wait to get to KCD2.

Today is my birthday. And somehow, I am beginning fifty suspended between earth and sky. I had a flight to catch, so here I am, looking down at the world from an airplane window, thinking about the woman I have become and all the women we are still fighting to be free enough to become. When my feet touch the ground again, I want to write something in praise of turning fifty. In praise of women. In praise of life. In praise of the freedoms that were taken from us and the stubborn, beautiful ways we have fought to take them back. I want to write in praise of being rebellious. Of being untamed. Of becoming the kind of woman who no longer asks permission for her age, her body, the lines on her face, the volume of her voice, or the choices she makes with her own life. Fifty does not feel like the end of youth to me. It feels like arriving at an age when you finally understand how much of a woman’s life can be stolen by the fear of being judged. OK I'm gonna be real with you-- I've been under the impression that screen protectors are all basically the same thing, the only real difference being the applicator tool that comes in the box. But JSAUX has changed my opinion with their new (slightly silly named) Obsidian AR Screen Protector. I've been using it for about a month now after removing my old screen protector and here are my thoughts What it does - Reduces direct reflections quite a bit - Makes colors appear darker/more rich - Protects the screen What it doesn't do - Angled reflections don't seem to be reduced much? - Doesn't make the screen bulletproof lol They also claim it's fingerprint and smudge proof but I haven't really had that issue with any of my screen protectors so 🤷 It's challenging to show just how much nicer this screen protector is but the video does a pretty decent job I think JSAUX's Obsidian AR Screen Protector for Switch 2 isn't currently available on Amazon (and according to them it won't be for.. awhile? The thing I love most after enlistment is how Jimin’s light isn’t just bright. It’s the brightest it has ever been. There’s a glow to him, a quiet radiance with that warm aura you can feel in his smile and those soft giggles. Like I said in my post, he looks freer. I’ve been a Jimin bias for a long time, from the very beginning, and I don’t think I’ve ever seen him shine quite like this. I keep going through old memories because this version of him carries pieces of every era I fell in love with. Maybe it’s simply been too long since we’ve seen him like this. Maybe I’m overwhelmed and grateful that he’s truly back. Maybe. Maybe not. But something about him now tells me he’s okay. He feels more grounded, more secure in himself, standing in a place that feels steady under him. His confidence is quiet but unmistakably real. And just to be clear, it’s not that he lacked confidence at any point in the last ten years. He always had it. What I mean is that this Jimin… it’s a different kind. It's a“He doesn’t give a fuck” kind of confidence, the type that comes from knowing himself completely and choosing to live in that freedom. Every single thing about him right now is just beautiful. There is a word in Urdu: Andaaz. Let's start with what it is not. It's not merely being stylish. Not poise, not composure, not a certain panache, though it wears all of these lightly. And really, it's not about display at all. Andaaz is not what you show the world, it's what you refuse to show it. German may have a close parallel to it, but not exactly: Haltung, how you stand and the stand you take, both at once. But Urdu already holds it, surrounded by its own family of words. Wazadari, the constancy of keeping to your own form. Saleeqa, the grace of doing a thing properly. Tehzeeb, tameez, adab. And I don't even mean it in the traditional sense. Andaaz can be formal, casual, irreverent, rebellious and so much more. But the fundamental argument still stays the same. And why refusal? Because we decline to display precisely because we know we are flawed. Andaaz begins in an admission of your own flaws, your own ordinary humanity. You've measured yourself, failures and all, and made your peace with it. That peace is the choice. The self you present is edited, not out of vanity but out of taste. You show what you can stand behind, and you're humble enough to know how much of you is not worth displaying. This is why self worth and humility are not really opposites. They are the same thing. When you are sure of your worth, admitting a flaw costs you nothing, because your worth was never about looking perfect for anyone. And that is where all the refusing comes from. You leave things unsaid. You keep hidden whatever isn't good enough to be a part of you. You let the cheap laugh pass. Humor is the cleanest test. You know a certain reply will land. You know this quip will get you the whole room, and you let it go. Not just because it's beneath you, but because the cheap laugh almost always works by holding up someone's flaw for applause, and a person who has seen his own flaws will not attack the flaws of others. No. You draw the line. That refusal isn't the whole of Andaaz, but it's a great example of it. So this is what it comes to. Andaaz is self worth in its truest sense. The self that will not be cheapened, not for a laugh, not to be seen, because it has already made its peace with being flawed and mortal, and it doesn't need anyone's permission. India has never been short of it. Nehru and Gandhi. Ambedkar. Sarojini Naidu and Vijaya Lakshmi Pandit. Tagore and Amrita Pritam, Ismat Chughtai, Begum Akhtar. Indira Gandhi and Jayalalithaa. Dilip Kumar and Madhubala, Amitabh, Shahrukh. Gavaskar. Homi Bhabha and Vikram Sarabhai. The list can run into the thousands, men and women, every field, and each of them, for me, a perfect example of Andaaz. Andaaz for me has always been an artistic statement. Because deep down, each one of them was an artist. Original and creative. Which brings me to the clip attached here. It is the antonym of Andaaz. These are people who merely exist, and who can't bear to merely exist, so desperate to be seen that they'll make fools of themselves for the seeing. And they can't decline to display, because they have never admitted a single flaw. Being seen is the whole of the self, and one crack would end them. There's no line they won't cross, because they never drew one. There's no applause too cheap to chase. That's the poverty underneath the noise. Poverty is not lack of money, for me, poverty is lack of Andaaz. As my father used to say: "Ghareeb ho, lekin lagna zaroori nahin hai." It's the aesthetic of a whole politics, Sanghism as we know it, which has never understood the one thing Andaaz is built on. To be seen is not the same as to be worth seeing.
