They ended up following for over 20 minutes, right before she makes one of her final turns to get home. The lights come on and the officer pulls her over. I always thought that they weren’t allowed to follow you over a set number of miles. That it would entrapment. Off duty officer had to chase shoplifter though the store only to get sprayed as the criminal makes their escape. An off-duty police officer working security at a department store was alerted to an active shoplifting incident. The officer confronted a female suspect near the exit doors as she attempted to leave with a large bag of unpurchased merchandise. When the officer tried to detain her, a struggle ensued.
