it has to be so difficult for police to respond in these situations. They've got a patriot going through tough times but at the same time they're just doing their job. Why we need to pay police officers more not less.

Additional info: situation eventually escalates when he apparently tried to reach for a rifle on a balcony behind him just a few minutes later, and cops hit him with a Taser and started firing seven shots. He was struck six times, and died of his wounds

Damn near went thru the exact same thing when I got back from Afghanistan. Didn't go this fucking far tho. Trust me alot of soldiers back from deployment do not handle these situations well.
