Political leader interviews are reserved for senior staffers. It spares the network embarrassing rookie gaffes. Travis is not one of those and now never will be. He can be as embarrassing as he wants on his own podcast, as demonstrated here.

I doubt he'd catch him anyway. No one runs away from reporters faster than Poilievre. He only does carefully set up interviews, where he can put on his fake smile, manspread and deliver his slogans in peace. No unexpected questions.
