Executives with real estate holdings and investments always say this. They don’t care about employees. They care about full office spaces

Google lost its competitive edge when it decided to lose its motto “don’t be evil“. That was a canary.

Tons of successful startups are remote. Google started failing right at the same time they started offshoring their management and workforce to the lowest bidder.

It hasn’t had a competitive edge for fifteen years, it had a monopoly. That’s a different thing. Their only means of innovation has been buying technologies and letting them rot. Their lack of innovation has nothing to do with remote work, in fact they’ve been more aggressive since going remote than before,

Work is an activity, not a location or a measure of time. Google's offices are corporate kindergartens. People with real jobs perform better at home in their own setup than in a ball pit next to a foosball table.

The tech industry has lost its way. Blaming it on their workers says it all. They don’t build for customers, they build for profits. It is about monopolies instead of competition. Eric is too old to understand this.

Work Ethic Wage Slaver. These people think that everyone work for them as fuel, either as a direct wage slave, or as a consumer feeding data. Fuel for THEM. You are fuel. The work is given purpose & meaning by being a competition not a cooperation. You have to win at life or you're no good. Factory schools are about winning so that you will be winning at work, winning, achieving... winning winning winning. No cooperating unless we tell you to. In the meantime you will be winning and competing and stepping on bodies till you are sick of winning. You will end your meaningless life having been good fuel for us or not as a winner for US so we could continue to compete. Now stop reading this and get back to work work work. We have money to make and we need to compete so we can continue to compete...
