On this Veteran’s Day, we honor those who wear our nation’s uniform and their courage, sacrifice, and unwavering service. President Obama reminded us that our progress and security is never the work of one person alone, when he reflected at the 10th anniversary of the bin Laden operation in conversation with Admiral Bill McRaven. It depends on the commitment and teamwork of countless Americans working together toward a common mission. To all who have served on the frontlines, and to the families who have stood beside them, we offer our deepest gratitude.

Robert J. O'Neill explains what it was like to kill Osama Bin Laden. On May 2, 2011, Osama bin Laden was shot and killed at his compound in Pakistani by United States Navy SEALs from SEAL Team Six. The raid lasted 40 minutes, and bin Laden was killed shortly before 1:00 a.m. local time. Three other men, including one of bin Laden's sons, and a woman in the compound were also killed. After the raid, U.S. forces returned to Afghanistan with bin Laden's body for identification. They then flew over 850 miles to the Arabian Sea, where he was buried in accordance with Islamic tradition.

We are grateful to all soldiers and commanders for their resilience and decisive actions," he said. Oleksandr Syrskyi added that "the situation is under our control."

The Navy SEAL who killed Osama bin Laden reveals what happened inside the room Adam Carolla: So, you got him, now you’re continually going up the stairs. And you were in what place in this line? Robert O’Neill: When we got to the second story, it split off to the left and right. The guy that had been up front, he’d already taken a shot up the third set and now he’s pointing up through a curtain. I recognize as the last man, he needs a two-man.
