If that guy gets to keep his senate seat, Graham Platner gets to stay. We have a two tiered system of scandal in our country. Speaker Johnson is a good conservative. He gets an award from CPAC every year for his votes, but he's also trying to deal with moderate parts of the Republican coalition. At the end of the day, the American People gave President Trump and Congress the authority to run our government. That means growing up, knowing what it takes to be a leader, and pushing things through that are important for the American People, even when it's tough.

Why is it that Speaker McCarthy only seems to do the right thing when he has a political gun to his head? Even after he makes promises, he doesn't always fulfill them. He promised that if he could just get the speaker's gavel, there would be an impeachment against Secretary Mayorkas. That hasn't happened. The pattern recognition here is Kevin McCarthy fails to deliver on his promises, then he gaslights the prospects of an impeachment.

I joined the Republican Party in 2016 to vote for Donald Trump and continued to support Republicans in every subsequent election since. If the Republican Party cannot support the agenda of President Donald Trump, I have no reason to continue to support the Republican Party. The GOP did not win me over, Trump did. The other candidates I support are a byproduct of their support for MAGA and America First. If they cannot do the job they were elected to do - which is back my President up and pass through his agenda - I will no longer see much reason to vote for them. Who’s with me?

There’s a tradition in Britain of only breaking our stiff upper lip to smirk at some twat who’s standing for election dressed like he’s going to run the London Marathon for charity. Count Binface is the latest one, and he’s the sole candidate (notwithstanding a few other cranks such as Piers Corbyn) running against Nigel Farage in Clacton. The usual excuse for novelty candidates is that they give voters an opportunity to make a protest vote against the establishment. But in this case all the establishment parties (the Tories, Labour, the Greens, Lib Dems) aren’t fielding a candidate. Count Binface IS the establishment candidate. He’s played by regime comedian Jonathan David Harvey, an Oxford graduate who according to his CV has written for BBC comedy shows such as The Thick of It, Have I Got News For You and Yes Minister (blimey, he must’ve started young). British satire has always been an establishment controlled release valve. Like the illusion of opposition media in Russia it’s there to give a facade, a reassurance that there’s some sort of democracy, but in reality it’s an establishment tool used to attack insurgents. Count Binface is welcomed onto every establishment news channel (even ones who refused to platform Reform), always with the same smirky smirk, and he’s celebrated by smirky establishment politicians.
