Haha, I wish! But... our next demo is, assuming all goes to plan, going to do some stuff that I think will surprise a lot of people. ;-)

PS. If anyone wants to supply me with the pixel art background and sprite assets for this game, maybe I will do something there too! You never know what's possible until someone shows you it.

Also, wait until the day I do my SNES take on the Strite level from Thunder Force IV, if I ever get around to that, as I think it's going to surprise a whole lot of people... one of the most acclaimed shmups on Genesis, and one of the most impressive levels in the entire game....

And I can tell you right now, even that won't remotely be taking full advantage of all the colours on SNES, as I ain't going to be redoing all of that art with four times the colours and sixty four times the colour gamut. :-o

But I will take advantage of the third background layer and the transparency. Possibly even the fourth layer using Mode 0, if I can get the 2bpp layers on SNES to look basically like the regular 4bpp layers on Genesis, which might not be as difficult as one might think.

All that's a while off, though, if it even happens at all! :D

Will this be physical at all? The new Neo Geo AES+ is coming out this .....sorry next year now. Games on that (reprints of originals are going for £90).

The original was a damn fine shmup, and this might be even better. Color me interested. I can already bet the first stage will he superior here, as the bullet sprites won't blend in with the background!

I hope devs and publishers alike keep the ball rolling on making new neo-geo games. Having another console option in this coming generation of overpriced product that you don't get to own is really nice. I've always been more of an arcade style gamer anyway

I get the feeling that the sprites, in general, are too big. They take up too much of the screen, making the backgrounds hard to see. Please don't take this as a negative criticism.

Maybe, its hard to tell. I think its pretty similar to original when you just look at the play area. The MD version has status panel that takes up some space
