🚩Fouad Makhzoumi: My position is unambiguous: I support this framework. For the first time in seventy years, Lebanon holds a text signed by the United States, Israel, and Lebanon, in which Israel declares it has no claim to Lebanese territory and wants the Lebanese Army controlling the ground. Hezbollah’s...

āš”ļøā•ļø Benjamin Netanyahu announces his achievements over the Lebanese state: "Citizens of Israel, before the Sabbath I want to announce to you a major achievement for the State of Israel. You know that we are conducting negotiations in Washington between Israeli, Lebanese, and American representatives. A lengthy negotiation, and today it has borne fruit. The most important thing is that first and foremost, Israel remains in the security zone in southern Lebanon. This is a major achievement, and we will maintain it as long as Hezbollah is not disarmed, as long as there is a threat to the State of Israel. This is also a significant blow to Iran. Iran is trying to force us to withdraw by force from southern Lebanon. And in effect, Israel, Lebanon, and the United States are telling them - this is none of your business. You have no role in Lebanon. Neither you nor Hezbollah nor any terrorist organization. The additional thing is, of course, that we are allowing the Lebanese army to begin organizing to take control of the area. We are creating two pilot zones. Both are at the recommendation of the IDF. One is entirely outside the security zone, south of the Litani, and the second is north of the Litani, a small part of which is in the expanded security zone that we achieved over the past two weeks, and which the IDF does not need - it says so in the clearest way. We are always preserving the original security zone outside the range of artillery fire. We do not allow Hezbollah to enter there, nor do we allow civilians to enter. This is preserved. And the most important thing is that Israel says: our security comes first."

Netanyahu lays out Israel's terms for Lebanon after signing of surrender framework agreement, vows Israeli occupation will continue as long as Israel deems necessary —— Following the US-brokered framework agreement with Lebanon, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu declared that Israeli occupation forces will withdraw from only two pilot areas, insisting that Israel will remain in its self-declared "security zone" in southern Lebanon "for as long as necessary." Calling it a "tremendous achievement," Netanyahu said international pressure to force an Israeli withdrawal had failed, adding that Israel was "breaking Iran's diplomatic axis." Praising the Lebanese government's decision, Netanyahu described it as "an extremely courageous step," claiming that, for the first time in decades, Lebanon was effectively telling Hezbollah and Iran: "Get out. We're making peace with Israel, whether you like it or not." He claimed the move enjoys support among Lebanese Christians, Druze, Muslims, and even some Shias. Netanyahu also said the Lebanese Armed Forces must reform from within, as "there are jihadist elements within the army," and added that the Lebanese government knows it must deal with the issue, saying, "We will, of course, examine this in practice." Netanyahu also reiterated that Israel was never a party to the US-Iran memorandum of understanding, despite the document stating that it was signed by the United States, the Islamic Republic of Iran, and their allies in the current war. He said Israel nevertheless has its own interests, including on the nuclear issue, and is considering sending a delegation to Washington to present its position. Asked about the long-standing description of Lebanon as a political graveyard for Israeli leaders, Netanyahu dismissed the remark, saying, "Who cares?" He added: "Whether it's a political graveyard or not, I will do whatever is necessary to ensure the security and victory of the State of Israel. If we need to enter Lebanon, we will enter Lebanon. If we need to act forcefully there, we will."
