Nice to see other people have also success with this method. Have been thinking for a while if an array of 16x 1070nm 100mv LEDs could achieve homogeneous illumination. But 12$ per LED + import fees are not a no-brainer compared to a cheap red light lamp.🤔

I agree about the pricing problem for the LEDs. If I find any cheaper LEDs I'll let you know. I want to use the LEDs in part because I'd like to digitally control the angle of the lighting, so an array of LEDs in a ring around the chip would be ideal, if it wasn't so expensive...

Hmm, I wonder if it's similarly possible to finagle some strategic bit flips using a IR laser? 🤔

Definitely. This technique is the poor man's version of existing techniques developed to do explicitly that.

That's pretty dang good. Love seeing beyond the vis. You can also see localized heating and regions with high res thermal as silicon transmission is 60% at LWIR

This vid has a strange beauty. (BTW, I had the pleasure of hearing you speak in BRC last year. I was the guy who asked the stupid question about C vs Rust; hope to see you again soon!)
