At this point I'm not even sure what's allowed on Steam anymore, it's a bit of a wild west kinda like Google Playstore with their legally distinct game clones.

Yooooooo it got a steam release? I was following thr development of this since it was called Darklings on gamejolt. I have a few older builds on my PC (presumably they're all still accessible on the game jolt page if it's still.up)
