What are the 49ers doing? They are operating like a bad, dysfunctional organization. The Niners have one bad season and all of a sudden they’re pinching pennies and they’ve gotten cheap? This is a bad look on Jed York. The 49ers are a cash cow. They’re valued at $9 billion and they’re shedding salaries left and right. I don’t get the strategy and if I’m Kyle Shanahan, do I want to stay with an organization that’s cheap and operating like the Dallas Cowboys?

I’m watching Rise Of The 49ers and it’s phenomenal. So well done and it got me thinking… If Eddie DeBartolo owned the 49ers today, I think he would move the practice field if his employees (players) were voicing concerns about the electrical substation. DeBartolo famously was very aggressive, tight with his players and did anything it took to win. If he thought that MAYBE the substation was leading to all these injuries AND players were worried about it, he wouldn’t care what it would cost. He’d move the practice facility and use that as an experiment himself to see if that could solve the injury woes. The way Jed York handled this last week during Super Bowl week wasn’t a good look. He shot down the theory, then his players continued to voice concerns about it. #49ers

The 49ers won’t win a Super Bowl under John Lynch and Kyle Shanahan until they change their offensive line philosophy. Watching the game tonight HAS TO FORCE THEM into changing how they go about building the OL. The talent gap between the Seahawks interior DL and the 49ers OL was massive. The 49ers gave up a pressure rate of 47.4 percent and a blitz rate of 10.5 percent. Brock Purdy was running for his life, traveling 413 yards on 33 drop backs. In the biggest games, against the best defenses, the 49ers OL always lets San Francisco down. #49ers

WR Equanimeous St. Brown was briefly with the 49ers during training camp this year had this to say about Kyle Shanahan: “Everyone wants to talk about the injuries and stuff, but in my short time there on offense, I realized real quick that Kyle Shanahan is a mastermind. I’m not gonna say he draws plays creatively, but he will purposely scheme people open to the extent, we all know defenses have rules, there’s too many offensive plays for defenses to know every play so they have rules they go by. So he’ll figure out their rules, and use that to his advantage. And he does it so well that you are wondering why they are winning with injuries on offense and scoring so many points, it’s because he knows how to scheme guys open.”

49ers fans: I know you hate the Seahawks with every fiber of your being, but it’s OK to admit that Seattle is a damn good football team. Give credit, where credit is due. What John Schneider and Mike Macdonald have built is impressive. Even if the 49ers had Nick Bosa, Fred Warner, George Kittle and Mykel Williams, they still don’t go into Seattle and win that game yesterday. Why? Because it wouldn’t have changed the fact that the Niners are weak along the OL, have no team speed on offense and that’s led to Mike Macdonald owning Kyle Shanahan. Richard Sherman does a great breakdown of the 49ers and Brandon Aiyuk situation: • The issues for BA started during the Super Bowl loss against the Chiefs in 2023 • The resentment BA had from the SB loss, trade rumors & whatever else was bothering him at the time should have been flushed before signing the extension or he should have agreed to be traded during that time • Once the agreement was signed BA needed to buy back in • Sherman believes once BA is reinstated, the 49ers will likely release him at that point • Sherman doesn’t believe the 49ers did anything horribly wrong. Says the 49ers did not disrespect BA • Sherman disagrees with LeSean McCoy’s comments about players need to fight ownerships like BA did. “They paid him $30M to catch the football. If you get paid for the services, you have to provide the services. You don’t just get to get paid and say 'na I’m not gonna play wide receiver'.” • “You don’t get to get paid and say I’m not gonna rehab with the team, which is fine, you can choose to not rehab with the team, many players have done it, but if you do that, you have to show up 4 days earlier than everyone else (it’s protocol) because the team that invested $30M a year in you wants to evaluate you and see how your rehab is going. BUT, imagine how much better the Niners could be if they didn't have so many draft misses and reaches. They'd be a wagon. #49ers
