Found this on Threads… Could the 49ers intense practices be a big reason for the high number of injuries they have had over the years under Kyle Shanahan? “I don’t want to hear another word about the “EMF’s” and the 49ers. If you had time for conspiracy EMF videos... show more

This is the softest shit I’ve ever heard…Andy Reid had intense 3 hour practices…Shanahans barely break an hour….again, the CBA has caused durability issues with players…

Remember back in high school football the two-a-days?

Shhh like this is how you create micro tears in an Achilles…power movements should be done for low reps, sound form & controlled negative…these trainers need to be fired…all explosion work, no eccentric work which keeps tendons healthy

Definitely will break the body down over time.

We need a Niners hard knocks. Who cares what they show at this point. Avoiding it hasn’t worked yet. Distraction already built in every year. Just do it.

@_PLVSVLTRA_ Follow up question I’d have is how can it be so physically taxing when it’s not even as grueling to how practices were ran back in the day? Used to be 2 padded practices, full contact each day. Must be a combination of factors, not one single issue.

All of it needs to be investigated and addressed... in addition to hiring an Etsy Witch...

I never go on Threads and as soon as I opened it up this hit me in the face 😂

I think Kyle's practices have been a topic of discussion in the past, so it feels like a valid thing to bring up. It's also well documented that we've seen a version of Kyle Shanahan this season that has been more retrospective and open to change as we've ever seen...

Yeah I’m not writing this off. Players have said his practices are hard compared to other teams (Hargrave here vs in Philly).

Much more likely than EMF These non-contact ACLs and Achilles injuries have historically been overuse injuries

I don’t care what it is. We all want it fixed. It should be #1 priority for Kyle and John in this offseason. More important than the draft and free agency.

Intense practices don’t heighten the risk of injury, the 49ers actually tend to have less injuries later in the year than the beginning due to the callus built up

Exactly.. Thank you, my brother.. I don’t pay attention nor entertain those that talk ignorant and negative of Kyle Shanahan.. #FTTB

I think it's not necessarily the intensity, but there isn't a buffer there. My own hypothesis is that the strength and conditioning staff is misdiagnosing soreness and such, and saying it's okay for them to do so in the second or third practice.

It is the totality of all of it. And until this year, Niners were known for their intense physicality on defense & offense (opposing teams would lose the following week because of it), add that to constantly playing in the post season, the wear and tear eventually adds up.

Clearly that shit doesn’t work. Maybe he needs to tone it down a bit and save his players lmao

everyone looking at eachother knowing they're going to get hurt.

A coach that pushes their players? If this was the case every team would look like the 49ers. Especially the Lions

You have to build those callus for the season, but you can also overtrain. Someone mention they heard they went pretty hard this offseason building up bodies for the physicality. Factor in the amount of soft tissue issues, hamstrings, is a great example of over training.

This would be like a boxer never hitting a heavy bag or sparring, only shadow boxing or speed bag and then complaining about spraining his wrist or braking his hand every time he has to fight…it takes a long time to condition the body for the physicality & endurance of football

Yeah I think it’s the heavy loaded practices!

Where’s this clip from

Man whatever it is, it all needs to be investigated. Shoot we lost Greenlaw in the SB just for jumping onto the field!! JUMPING ONTO THE FIELD!

In Track and Field, you establish a base of conditioning first. Simpler, less stressful exercises. Distances. Then later, intense training comes. Then taper off for performing. NFL should never play games unless at least five FULL days of rest. 3 games in 13 days, brutal.

Being TOO fast or TOO strong for the body can be an issue.

What NFL teams used to practice way hard harder and longer than they do today, restricted by league rules. So, idk

what video is this from? wanna watch the whole thing

I’m pretty sure Andy has some hi tempo practices as well.

You should know The NFL is not a flag football league.

Ehhh...I don't think the people who write off EMF have the high ground in the argument they think they do Most of it comes down to shaming people for wanting that situation looked into by science and medical professionals. Shaming people before they can study an issue ain't it

Cant listen to this from where I am and will do so later. I have no clue what is right in regards to practice intensity, but Ive also seen folks say that Kyle's practices are not rough, so I dont know.

"The best way to build your body to make it through a year is to build that callous" might be the dumbest most unscientific shit I've ever heard someone say lol Dude needs some introspection.

But the power lines are injuring the 9ers.

I think this is also an issue. Their has to be some reason why we are ALWAYS dealing with a ton of injuries.

Kyle is not smart

Isn’t John Harbaugh notorious for having the hardest practices in the league? I didnt see the ravens almost entire roster fall apart.

Why not both? Or multiple causes? Doubt it’s 1 singular thing. Worth looking into every possibility as the trend is way too consistent to say it’s just chance. And here’s an old ad for lead for the people who say considering EMF’s is a ‘conspiracy’ lol

Why am I feeling like the 49ers need to move on from Kyle?
