Found this perspective on the #Dolphins from former Titans GM Ran Carthon interesting.

I don’t understand this public misconception that Tua doesn’t hold himself accountable. It’s literally the first thing he says in all of his press conferences, but hey it doesn’t fit the narrative, so people don’t hear about it.

Tua took full responsibility for the picks. And talked about doing the same thing repeatedly and expecting different results. He’s not happy with the coaching, the play calling, the personnel decisions, a failing defense. Remember, he played for Saban.

Tua is an awful leader.

He littered began his statement by saying it starts with the LEADERSHIP!!! Aka HIM! How are these people paid money to be this stupid. At least try to be factual about what was said

Uhhhh he literally held himself accountable and said he’s gotta stop the turnovers. WTH?

@RanCarthon sometimes we can’t see the forest through the trees

I dont get it - Tuas been criticised for years for being overly self critical. They want him to be a leader - then complain when he calls out people who dont do what theyre supposed to do. This whole thing is bonkers - literally they want everything to be Tuas fault!

However you spend years telling us players respect the clown you call a franchise QB

This is nuts. Tua has been up and down this season but he led the game winning drive and only left the Chargers with 46 seconds left. Special teams gave up 40 yards and our defense is historically bad. Tua can play perfect and the defense will still lose the game.

I think the problem with Tua of late is 'conditional accountability'. 'I can do a better job, but this... '. Things that could be handled internally, he's making public. So, honestly, they're not wrong. This team is unraveling.

He did call himself out in the press conference so while I would agree with this guy if he had not, he did, and this guy is making comments on something he clearly didn't watch the entire press conference. Tua literally said he contributed to the turnovers and can't do that.

Another one that did not see the entire press conference.

Maybe if going to give a 2 minute speech on it he could actually listen to all of Tua's presser and hear that he actually did exactly what he says he did not. Maybe, you know, not just take the rage bait clip out of context

To say tua never puts it on himself is just ignorant. You've never heard him do it because you dont follow the team. They are a bad football team but talking without having a clue what this dude has said is just April for the course on these tlaking head shows.

I mean… didn’t he take ownership of the loss in the same statement? Saying that it starts with him, and kinda hard to win games when you throw 3 picks

I must be blind or i shouldn't believe what I see! A closer look at Tua's this season reveals a tough pattern in clutch moments. 🤯 In 4 of the Dolphins' 5 losses, costly interceptions have been a pivotal factor: vs Colts: 2 INTs stalled the offense in a rough season opener. vs Patriots: A late-game INT on the potential game-winning drive. at Bills: A critical 4th quarter red-zone pick, ending a go-ahead threat. vs Chargers: 3 INTs proved fatal in a 2-point loss. #FinsUp #TuaTagovailoa #Dolphins #NFL

“It’s very interesting. Here’s the other part of this — because this guy doesn’t live in South Florida, Tua the media doesn’t have its usual whooping stick to blame. The guy call Tyreek Hill — now it’s Tua’s team. He’s feeling the pressure, it’s finally all on him. I bet he tried to call a players-only meeting after Tyreek got hurt, but the guys weren’t feeling that.”

He def said it was him buddy

Team is laughingstock right. It would be nice if a Ross had a press conference to address everything going on with the team, but again he is an absentee owner

@OmarKelly I’m sorry brother I’ve followed u for years and I love you I do but I think it’s time you admit you were wrong about Tua and say it’s over for him in this franchise .

QB and HC have lost respect in the locker room highly doubt this team wins 5 games more like 2 or 3.

100% Unfortunately as a pro who makes 200+ million you should already know that. The quicker we move on the better. If he ever figures it out it won’t be on this team.

So he’s limited in health, arm strength, mobility, and now leadership. But you continue to defend him, because he’s better than Ryan Tannehill?

This is what happens when talking heads consume a small clip from a much larger press conference…

Tua is a loser. Great human, terrible football player. Time to see what Ewers can do.

I don't give a shit who Tua was talking to or about because he shouldn't have said it. He's playing like shit and has lost the fan base and after this stunt he's lost the locker room also

There’s a reason why this dude is a former GM💯💀😂

I swear they only look at part of the press conference and run with it 🤦🏿♂️😂

You found this interesting Omar. It’s exactly right you just don’t have to bal*s to admit you are wrong about Tua. But go ahead and keep pushing your narrative that Tua is the franchise QB.

@OmarKelly Maybe not something you want to get into, but don’t feel Tua has (or had) the respect of his teammates?

💯

Tua always stuck me as the guy when his time with the dolphins is done he will be done with football. I really don’t think he cares all that much. I think Kyler the same way he would rather do anything over football

You yourself know that he does take accountability lol.
