Nowadays, every girl seems to be carrying these mug-like bottles with a straw. Wherever you look, you see the same thing in almost every girl’s hand, whether she is walking on the road, going to the gym, going to the office, or shopping. While returning from the university, I witnessed an ambulance struggling in a severe traffic jam. All vehicles, including ours, were completely stuck, and it was extremely difficult to make way for the ambulance. In such critical moments, a patient inside the ambulance can lose the battle of life due to a few minutes of delay. At the same time, it can clearly be seen that the BRT route was entirely empty. Therefore, we strongly request you ,the Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and the concerned authorities to allow ambulances to use the BRT route (BRT lane) in emergency situations, so that they can reach hospitals quickly and save precious human lives. We hope that, in the spirit of humanity, you will kindly consider this practical and life-saving suggestion. Thank you.

I have chosen to drive my Tesla on FSD multiple times instead of flying. In the past year, I’ve done multiple ~20-hour days driving continuously on FSD, covering over 1,000 miles daily without ever needing to touch the steering wheel. We just took a trip from Toronto to Nashville as well. It was 900 miles one way, which we completed in a single day (18 hours), and it was way more economical (and fun) than flying. Before that, I did Toronto to Austin, TX (3,200 miles round trip) TWICE in July and November — all in my Model 3 Performance. Would I attempt these drives without FSD? No way. I literally push a button on the screen, and the car handles all the charging stops, traffic, navigation, and everything. It’s so easy. If you’re an avid road tripper, there’s no better car to do it in than a Tesla.

My final video from last nights findings. As I was walking down canal street I noticed this girl walking down the street alone only to be stopped by 2 Pakistani lads (in fairness they seemed similar age). After she started walking backwards and they followed I hung back to see if she was ok. They ended up talking right in front of me. Whilst the guys were trying it on with her and you could say the girl was flirting back she then looked at me right in the eyes and said “help me, help”. I’m not sure how serious she was but a taxi was booked for her to get home. Blur added for the girls privacy. Dads please tell your daughters not to be out on the streets drunk alone in this day and age

Saw this today and it honestly broke me a little. This man was sitting on the curb with a small food container, clearly not much. Right next to him was his dog, wrapped in a little blanket, lying on a makeshift bed. The guy opens his meal, takes a few bites… and then without even thinking twice, he feeds his dog from the same box. You could tell it wasn’t just “a pet.” That dog was family. They looked at each other with that kind of trust that you can’t fake. It’s crazy how people with the least often give the most. No phone out for attention, no crowd watching, just a quiet moment between two souls surviving together. I don’t know their story, but I know love when I see it. And this right here, this is love.

This is Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba Akoko. Students came out to peacefully protest, and the state governor, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, responded with gunshots against students. Yesterday, the governor met with Army chiefs. Today, soldiers arrived on our campus and opened fire on unarmed students. Let that sink in. This is a university that has seen its fair share of student protests over the years. With fee hikes, strikes, and insecurity in the host community, we have marched for all of it. And in all those years, even during the most chaotic of them, including 2009, when angry students burnt down a police station in Akungba, live bullets were never the answer. Soldiers, when they showed up, moved barricades and drove past. That was the unspoken rule. You do not turn guns on students. That rule was broken today. What changed? A governor who sat with army chiefs less than twenty four hours before soldiers showed up shooting at the same students he is meant to serve and protect. All cops are ******** As I was walking to catch a bus, sirens suddenly started coming from several directions. My attention was drawn to a lone police officer and two PCSOs fighting to save a man’s life. A passenger on a bus had gone into cardiac arrest and, without hesitation, they were on the floor administering CPR in a desperate attempt to bring him back. Within moments a trainee doctor joined them, and the fight to keep the man alive continued. A few minutes later — although it felt far longer — more officers arrived along with the first paramedic car. The man’s heart stopped more than once, but the effort never stopped. CPR continued, equipment arrived, and after a long battle at the scene the patient was finally prepared for transport to hospital in a critical condition, connected to everything possible to keep him alive. Medics later told the officer and PCSOs that without their immediate actions, the man would not even have made it to an ambulance. By pure chance they had been on a bus behind when they were alerted, and with no kit and no time to think, they went straight to work. Once relieved by paramedics and other officers arriving, the first officer went straight back to duty, protecting the scene and asking people to use an alternative route as the pavement had been closed. Having moments earlier been pumping a man’s chest trying to keep him alive, he then found himself dealing with the annoyance of members of the public unhappy at being told they could not walk through. It was a telling moment. I spoke briefly with the officer afterwards. All cops are ******** As I was walking to catch a bus, sirens suddenly started coming from several directions. My attention was drawn to a lone police officer and two PCSOs fighting to save a man’s life. A passenger on a bus had gone into cardiac arrest and, without hesitation, they were on the floor administering CPR in a desperate attempt to bring him back. Within moments a trainee doctor joined them, and the fight to keep the man alive continued. A few minutes later — although it felt far longer — more officers arrived along with the first paramedic car. The man’s heart stopped more than once, but the effort never stopped. CPR continued, equipment arrived, and after a long battle at the scene the patient was finally prepared for transport to hospital in a critical condition, connected to everything possible to keep him alive. Medics later told the officer and PCSOs that without their immediate actions, the man would not even have made it to an ambulance. By pure chance they had been on a bus behind when they were alerted, and with no kit and no time to think, they went straight to work. Once relieved by paramedics and other officers arriving, the first officer went straight back to duty, protecting the scene and asking people to use an alternative route as the pavement had been closed. Having moments earlier been pumping a man’s chest trying to keep him alive, he then found himself dealing with the annoyance of members of the public unhappy at being told they could not walk through. It was a telling moment. I spoke briefly with the officer afterwards. My wife bought a brand new iPhone at the Apple store located at Jakande, Lekki Phase 1,Lagos last September. We decided to trade it in for a new one today at the Apple Store located at Westfield Stratford City Arcade (London) a few minutes ago Only God did not let them call the police on us The attendant scanned the IPhone and declared that it had been reported as stolen. Stolen from where? It was not a used iPhone It was new, purchased from an approved Apple Store and we have all the receipts intact The attendant saw our indignation and went ahead to consult with her superiors They scanned again and they declared that it was reported “missing”. They adjusted their language from stolen to missing and told us it has zero swap value. I was not shocked at all even though I should be. Nigerians like cutting corners for unhealthy gains and they always believe this is good business for them as long as they were able to make a buck. Somehow we were able to walk out of that Apple Store without any drama but I remember telling my wife that we would have had a lot of explaining to do if they had a policy that required that they must report such incidents to the police. Nigerian business people must try to do better than this There is something called integrity, it has a higher value than the dirty gains they think they are getting by playing dirty. I have always insisted on buying things in Nigeria because it helps the economy but I can see the reason many prefer to shop abroad. We must do better than this as a people. -GSW-
