Tun Dr Mahathir bin Mohamad and Dr Muhammad Yunus, Dr. Muhammad Yunus, Chief Advisor of the Interim Government of the People's Republic of Bangladesh, held a courtesy meeting at the Imperial Hotel, Tokyo, Japan. At the meeting Dr Muhammad Yunus shared that he is cuttently focused in rebuilding Bangladesh and sought advice from Dr Mahathir on matters of governance, youth development and the creation of job opportunities. Yunus also extended an invitation for Dr Mahathir to visit Dhaka.

Your compassion and timely support have made a tremendous difference in saving lives. Dr. Mimi Syed, along with doctors Feroze Sidhwa and Mark Perlmutter MD, described the gunshot wounds to the head and chest suffered by Palestinian children at the hands of the Israeli army. “None of the senior officials met with us, it was all basically interns,” Syed said. She noted that while attendees seemed aware of the situation in Gaza, “they all felt guarded in their responses.”
