Four Palestinian cadets have been commissioned after completing the 90th Long Course at the Bangladesh Military Academy (BMA), officials said. A total of 184 officer cadets were commissioned into the Bangladesh Army on 18 June 2026, including 166 men and 18 women.

Today is the first day of the new class at U.S. Military Academy at West Point. I will be sharing photos and experiences all day. This is Father Matt welcoming cadets moments before they are to begin their journey at West Point and join the long gray line. He is one of the most inspirational and impactful people I have ever met. Bless him, and bless the new cadets.

Preparations for the Rath Yatra were underway at the Lamornihat ISKCON temple in Bangladesh Then eight Muslim women came there and started creating a ruckus saying that Bangladesh is the land of Islam and the Rath Yatra of Hindus will not be taken out on our land of Islam There was a lot of commotion and then the Bangladesh police took these Muslim women with them. #RathYatra2025

Congratulations to Madhya Pradesh & Chhattisgarh Directorate for winning the Overall Championship Trophy, and to Cadet Teeya Rajesh Awale (Maharashtra) and Cadet Sodha Rajveer Singh (Assam) for being adjudged the Best Cadets. With the participation of 612 cadets, including 204 girl cadets, the camp strengthened leadership, camaraderie and national integration. NEW: Off-duty NYPD officer passes after a drunk driver slammed into a nail salon in Long Island. 64-year-old Steven Schwally was arrested and charged with DWI after he slammed his car into the salon. A total of 10 people were injured in the crash and four others were k*lled. The victims included the salon's owner, Jiancai Chen, 37, workers Meizi Zhang, 50, and Yan Xu, 41, and off-duty NYPD officer Emilia Rennhack, 30. The 2020 Chevy Traverse traveled through the entire building before coming to a stop at the back of the salon. According to prosecutors, Schwally claimed he had 18 beers the night before but said he stopped drinking at 3 am. His bail was set at $1 million.

🇳🇴🚷The Norwegian Foot March began back in World War 1 as an endurance test. Our Scandinavian partners introd it to their allies shortly after, and West Point was proud to host it this past weekend. So what is it? It’s an 18.6 mile course meant to be naviagated around the Academy grounds with a 25lb ruck. On Friday night, waves of 45 cadets stepped off 3 min apart starting at 1800 and running through the night, the last wave of cadets finishing at about 0200. Pretty fun little rave if you ask me. 😎💥🪩

Why are long-standing community groups — especially those who serve, volunteer, and contribute — not being treated as a priority? Our towns deserve facilities that support local people first.
