VIDEO CIRCULATING OF SUSPECTS ARRESTED MADE AT MALL OF AFRICA Three suspects linked to taxi violence related murders in East London have been arrested by a special task team assigned to prevent, combat and investigate serious and violent crime in the Eastern Cape. The murders are believed to have taken place between November 2023 and August 2024 in which two taxi owners, a taxi driver and a member of a taxi association were gunned down. Two of the suspects were arrested at Mall of Africa in Midrand, Johannesburg on Friday, 08 November 2024, while another one was arrested in East London on Saturday, 09 November 2024. Four other suspects that are also seen in this video have been taken in for questioning by SAPS. Police have seized four pistols and an AK47 from the suspects. These firearms and rifle have been taken in for ballistics testing to determine their linkage to the murders and any other serious and violent crime. This matter is still under investigation and police will not comment further.

SAPS Gauteng Provincial Office, The Presidency of the Republic of South Africa Briefly - South African News. No eviction Papers where produced to community leaders nor the family. Randfotein Sheriff's office did what they always do. Forged paper work with just an affidavit to apply for an eviction. The ledearship of Randwestcity Local Municipality as always they distanced themselves as for SAPS Mohlakeng and Randfontein SAPS. I would rather reserve my comments.

Armed Security Officer Shot During Robbery in Morningside: Marshall Security responded to reports of gunshots on Avondale Road in Morningside this evening. (Thursday, 30/07/2026) It is alleged that an armed security officer from another private security company was attacked, shot and robbed of his firearm. The officer sustained multiple gunshot wounds and was treated on scene by paramedics before being rushed to a nearby hospital. Berea SAPS are on scene and will be investigating further.

GRASSY PARK E-HAILING ROBBERY Grassy Park police have opened a robbery with firearm case after an e‑hailing driver was targeted in Parkwood on Saturday 25 April 2026.
