VIDEO CIRCULATING OF SUSPECTS ARRESTED MADE AT MALL OF AFRICA Three suspects linked to taxi violence related murders in East London have been arrested by a special task team assigned to prevent, combat and investigate serious and violent crime in the Eastern Cape. The murders are believed to have taken place between November 2023 and August 2024 in which two taxi owners, a taxi driver and a member of a taxi association were gunned down. Two of the suspects were arrested at Mall of Africa in Midrand, Johannesburg on Friday, 08 November 2024, while another one was arrested in East London on Saturday, 09 November 2024. Four other suspects that are also seen in this video have been taken in for questioning by SAPS. Police have seized four pistols and an AK47 from the suspects. These firearms and rifle have been taken in for ballistics testing to determine their linkage to the murders and any other serious and violent crime. This matter is still under investigation and police will not comment further.

In Mohlakeng, Randfontein West Rand if Gauteng a house was sold for R1. Yes R1.00. A child headed family was evicted today. Because a white man bought this house for R1. SAPS Gauteng Provincial Office, The Presidency of the Republic of South Africa Briefly - South African News. No eviction Papers where produced to community leaders nor the family. Randfotein Sheriff's office did what they always do. Forged paper work with just an affidavit to apply for an eviction. The ledearship of Randwestcity Local Municipality as always they distanced themselves as for SAPS Mohlakeng and Randfontein SAPS. I would rather reserve my comments.

Armed Security Officer Shot During Robbery in Morningside: Marshall Security responded to reports of gunshots on Avondale Road in Morningside this evening. (Thursday, 30/07/2026) It is alleged that an armed security officer from another private security company was attacked, shot and robbed of his firearm. The officer sustained multiple gunshot wounds and was treated on scene by paramedics before being rushed to a nearby hospital. Berea SAPS are on scene and will be investigating further.

GRASSY PARK E-HAILING ROBBERY Grassy Park police have opened a robbery with firearm case after an e‑hailing driver was targeted in Parkwood on Saturday 25 April 2026. Western Cape SAPS media liaison Sergeant Wesley Twigg confirmed that the incident happened at about 8:47pm in Pers Road when the driver responded to a pickup request. Two unknown men entered the vehicle and one of them produced a firearm. The driver was robbed of personal belongings and cash before the suspects fled the scene. #CatMatlala Alleged crime kingpin Vusimusi "Cat" Matlala will be sentenced today in the controversial 228 million rand Medicare 24/SAPS contract. Matlala had pleaded guilty to all the charges he was facing of fraud, corruption, and money laundering. He has also turned state witness and provided in an affidavit to investigators the names of higher profile SAPS officials allegedly involved in the deal. Also BREAKING.... Brigadier Rachel Matjeng who is also one of the accused in the matter has been dismissed by SAPS. NEWS RELEASE: Four Denver metro teenagers were arrested earlier this month on state organized crime control charges following an extensive investigation by the Aurora Police Department’s Crime Gun Intelligence Unit. #APDNews The suspects include Lennon Melgares, 18, of Edgewater, Xavier Chavez, 18, of Aurora, Jayden Velarde, 18, of Morrison, and a 17-year-old Lakewood teenager. Chavez was arrested Sept. 5 by the Aurora police SWAT Team. Melgares, Velarde and the Lakewood teenager were arrested Sept. 6 in Jefferson County with the assistance of the Jefferson County SWAT Team. The Lakewood teenager is not being identified because he is a minor. All four suspects face charges in Arapahoe District Court, which were filed under the Colorado Organized Crime Control Act. All four suspects face charges of attempted first-degree murder, conspiracy to commit first-degree murder, aggravated intimidation of a victim or witness and felony menacing, among others. The charges stem from April when investigators from the Aurora police Crime Gun Intelligence Unit began reviewing unsolved shooting cases. Relying on self-developed ballistic evidence from the Aurora police Crime Gun Intelligence Center, investigators connected multiple unsolved shootings in Aurora to other open investigations in Wheat Ridge and Lakewood. Aurora’s Crime Gun Intelligence Unit took the lead on the investigations, working with detectives from the Wheat Ridge, Lakewood and Lakeside police departments to gather intelligence and build cases against the four suspects. Through the investigations, detectives determined the four suspects were engaged in activity that met the state’s definition of an organized criminal enterprise, stemming from weapons offenses throughout the metro area. Also participating in the wide-ranging investigation were detectives, officers and professional staff members from Aurora police’s Narcotics Unit, the Direct Action Response Team, the fugitive unit, the K9 Unit, the Gun Violence Suppression Team and the Crime Scene Unit.
