People in England are being arrested over social media posts that are not threats and have nothing to do with national security. We should be paying close attention to this. This is what happens when societies become overly sensitive and start policing speech instead of protecting it. This is the logical end point of censor culture. No matter where I’ve lived in life I’ve always had some neighbor that was older and seemed to have a chip on their shoulder. It never fails that they always seem to have an issue. At first I thought maybe it was just me but I’ve quickly come to realize that there are some people out there that are just so miserable that the only joy in life is to bring others down with them. So how do I deal with them? I’ve tried to just ignore people like that, it used to be my go to response but at what point do I stand up and say enough is enough? They don’t seem to be bothered by the police and they act this way towards children as well.
