Framer 3.0 just came out and I might actually start using it. - Much easier to start thanks to Agents - Creates perfect components, auto layout and even breakpoints - World-class ecosystem of templates and components But holy crap, is it hungry for tokens.

Yes tokens cost real money (especially for tree based tools). We give a bit for free but we can't subsidize like the labs. We charge you what it costs us, and a page gen is $1-3. That said, you don't have to worry about this for very long. Tokens want to be free. More soon.

Thanks for the clarification! I think agents in general are very token hungry. I remember hitting my limits in 3 prompts on Claude Design as well ($20 sub). That being said, it's hard to justify paying $10 (1k credits) for a single prompt. Looking forward to the free (or more efficient) tokens soon!

It's more $2-3 per prompt tbh but it really depends 1) if you're making money off the result and 2) how much time you save. But again, chat tokens are basically free now. Design tokens will get cheaper really fast too.

Once you're used to Codex/Claude Code, it's hard to go back. But then again, if you're a designer who grew up with Figma, it's hard to not miss the control you had.

Oh absolutely, and I think there’s (for now) still some value in having the visual artefact to help those prompts output better.

The hosting plans is always what got me. You couldn’t start small and grow with your startup. I remember looking at the form entry limit and just laughing. I’ll look again to see if this side of things has improved. Otherwise sticking with raw hosting. Quite the endorsement though!
