Last week, while recording an episode of The Diary Of A CEO, Steven Bartlett surprised me with a letter I never saw coming. It was from my dear friend Marc Marc Benioff, CEO and Co-Founder of Salesforce. It was completely unexpected and moved me deeply. Marc is someone who gives relentlessly. Marc Andreessen explains why warm referrals to venture capitalists are important As Marc explains in the clip below: “The way the top-end venture capitalist firms work is they’ll basically take you seriously if you come in introduced by somebody they’ve worked with before, and they won’t take you seriously if you don’t.” While this may seem unfair, Marc explains that securing a warm referral should be viewed as your first test: “It’s the first test of your ability to network your way to the investor… If you can’t figure out a way to network your way to a VC firm—which of course is in the business of meeting founders—then you’re unlikely to be able to network your way into hiring a great team or selling your product to customers.” He concludes: “The role of the warm referral is misinterpreted. French guard Marc-Owen Fodzo Dada has officially made it to Omaha where he'll be playing for Creighton next season. The 6-3 19-year from France is a really fun long-term guard prospect in France's 2006 generation. The Nancy guard has a +8 wingspan relative to his height and played a key role off the bench in the LNB averaging 6.4 PPG in just 13 MPG. Then Dada, had a strong Eurocamp this summer averaging 15.5 PPG. A really solid defensive prospect with nice twitch, handle and PNR playmaking but needs to improve his shooting moving forward.

Less than a week after his murder, she explicitly said he was “too smart to be Protestant,” deciding to make it all about her and her conversion to the Catholic faith. One of the last things Charlie said at UVU the day he died was that he was an evangelical. The question before the trans shooter question was from a Mormon who wanted to ask about Mormonism and Charlie said he was an evangelical but he respected Mormons. So can we stop lying? Can we stop rewriting history? Can we stop using Charlie as a pawn and stop speaking on things only his wife should be speaking on, and that’s if she wants to?
