Frank Edoho is literally the only man I have called out for his foolishness for forgiving a cheating woman and I feel a little bit of sympathy for him because of how high I regarded him while growing. I remembered when I was in secondary school, the way I always anticipated his show and hope to be as intellectual as him cause of how he spoke with so much intellect and confidence. Alot of men in their 20s and 30s today knew how prominent he was back then. I bet you even Chike looked upto him. He was a role model to alot of us. We so much respected him. “EVERYONE. This man came into my yard a couple of hours ago and offered to cut my grass for a certain price. I didn’t have enough money today to afford that on top of everything else, and I told him to come back in a week. A few minutes ago, I heard a loud noise outside of my house. I opened the door and noticed that he was cutting my grass. I went running out to him and yelled for him to stop... he shook his head no. He told me that he saw my kids playing in the yard and was worried about snakes being in the grass and biting them because the grass was too tall. I again told him to stop because I couldn’t pay him. He said that he didn’t need to be paid, he had grandchildren, and that he hoped someone would look after them in the same way. I was brought to tears. I hugged him. We talked about different struggles we’ve had in life, and he told me that this is what the news doesn’t report. He told me the news doesn’t report the black neighbor helping out the white neighbor because it isn’t good for the network to make money. I told him that he has a good heart. I told him I wish more people on earth were like him. We hugged again. He is still outside cutting my grass, and it’s dark now. I am so grateful to have him as a new friend. On the 13th of Sept, someone transferred 180k for an iPhone Xs 256GB. After acknowledging his receipt, he called, and I told him we don't have it but will ask colleagues and let him know. I asked my friend, and he told me 190k. I begged him to leave it at 180k because that is what the guy deposited (check frame 2 for reference). When he sent the phone from Kano to Jos, then I noticed it was an Xs Max. Seeing that the guy was in a hurry and didn't want to disappoint, I called him and told him what happened and said if he wants the Max, he can take it at no additional cost. I was willing to settle the difference because it was his first time buying from us. I packaged it with a new premium charger because all our used phones are sent packaged in our branded box with a charger, and I sent it to him in Abuja. He later messaged that he has received the phone and truly appreciates it. After months of not receiving any complaints from him, it clearly indicates that he has received a fully functioning phone. It is in our policy that if you find anything faulty within one week, you can return it to us and either ask for a replacement or refund. What this means is that the cost of bringing it from Kano to Jos, the packaging and charger, and the delivery to Abuja are all a loss to me. But I didn't mind because at least I have satisfied him. Nine weeks later, while I was in Kano, I saw a call from an unknown number. When I picked up, he said it was him. He told me that the camera has started giving him problems. I told him it has been months since you bought it, but you can take it to any repair store and tell me how much you spent, and I will pay. He asked if I know anyone, and I sent him someone's number. The guy didn't pick; he texted and informed me and later called me. I told him to go to anyone he trusts and let me know the amount he spent. A few days later, I was stranded between Kaduna and Abuja on my trip from Kano to Abuja because my car engine failed. He called, and I didn't pick; I don't even know his number. Later in the night, I received his messages on WhatsApp with a threat that he will make a video to tarnish the image of my business. Someone I was willing to help after months of buying a USED device from me is threatening me. I said he should go ahead because I can't entertain him anymore. In conclusion, a trade that I incurred a loss from is what some people are trying to justify as a scam. The beautiful part is I have made trades with hundreds of people here, and I would love two more people to come out and present a case in which they are still using a device I sold to them that is faulty and they contacted me for a replacement or refund, and I didn't do it instantly. "The hypocrite will always look for faults" - Ghazali. Those that are looking for a fault in me can justify something as woke as this; it doesn't matter. A player at a casino was accused of being too good and kept winning, they forced him to return all of his chips and cashed him out and told him to leave, there were whispers that they thought he was card counting. I never been to any place where they forced you to do a return and sent you on your way. But I have heard of retail places doing that. When the customer tries to argue at the register they are like you know what, here take your money back and leave. Back when the PS5 came out I was desperate to get one for my kid too, I was searching online for those obscure local stores that had them. I found one in Rochester, NY. I placed the order and got a confirmation and a notification from my bank saying an amount was taken out by them. So I figured they had it and it was fine. A week later after I didn’t get it, I called and he said yes he still had it but he’s been busy and will ship it out asap. I was like ok cool, so another week went by and I called him again and asked what the hold up was. This time around the guy was quite nasty and told me I needed to be patient because he was dealing with some stuff. He then said “you are acting like you don’t want it!” Which was weird because if I didn’t want it I wouldn’t be checking on why I didn’t get it yet. Next day I wake up to a notification from my bank saying the amount taken was credited back to my account and it showed the retailers name. He cancelled my order and refunded my money. So I called again and he said I was harassing him and he rather not sell to people like me. At that point I was furious but what could I do. I was thinking maybe he didn’t have it all along, maybe he only listed it as a means of bringing attention to his store in hopes people browse and buy other items too. Either way the idea of a place of business saying they don’t want my business and giving me my money back and refusing service is ridiculous to me.
