Fenix Flexin's viral new song "Rubberz" has people convinced it's AI, but he says it's the real deal. The Shoreline Mafia member released the Purps on the Beat-produced single on June 5, which finds his rhyming in a folk-music tone over a beat that sounds like it was pulled straight out of Miami Vice. People are positive that Fenix used AI and not his real voice on the song. However, on Tuesday (June 9), he responded to doubts about the track in the comment section of an Instagram post showing him performing the song on On the Radar. "No sirrrrrrr, recorded same as all music I do!" he wrote. "Only difference Is auto tune reverb and me using my fake uk accent lol." Fenix also denied the song is AI to Bootleg Kev. In an interview with XXL back in January, Fenix revealed he is working on revamping his sound.

Just my opinion on people saying Your Love by the Outfield is about an underage girl…. I grew up in the 80’s and have always listened to the Outfield, still a favorite of mine. The lyrics literally say “You know I like my girls a little bit older?” which I interpret as he likes them older than himself. It’s well known that the song is about him cheating on his girlfriend with a one night stand. I don’t interpret this song being inappropriate at all as some people are skewing it to be. Saying that, the music video did show girls in the video but it’s a marketing ploy geared towards us girls in the 80’s to listen to their music. He plays many different scales and tunes on the guitar and all of them may require some other skills that he has to have. However, he does this with his talent on his finger tips. As he couldn't get an amplifier during his guitar learning process, he learnt how to play with fingers. He composed Sultans of Swing on an acoustic guitar that he had back in the day but he didn't record the song. Instead, he put aside the lyrics of the song and when he got an amplifier and fender strat, he re-played the song and then he recorded it.

When he did that, a National Guardsman summoned the DC Police to arrest him for it, and they put him in handcuffs for having played that song, but now, he just got paid. He’s just received a $50,000 payment as a settlement for the cops handcuffing him, essentially as punishment for him playing the song from the Empire Strikes Back.
