The issue isn’t there was a fourth and one handoff up the middle using analytics. The question is why would you call up the middle where you’ve been struggling all day and you just did it the play before? Having said that I do like him. I just think people get caught up in analytics.

This is when analytics suck It doesn't attribute for game feel. They couldn't get anything going up the middle the entire game, but bc an objective NFL statistic said to run it from gun, so we did. there's a time and place for analytics, late game 4Q decisions aint it

It is easy to hate the call (I did at the time), but the reality is that Ruckert failed to make a basic block and that is why they Jets failed on that play and they are 4th and 1.

Good to hear the reasoning. But those analytics do need to take into account that our QB isn't Mahomes or Allen. Also our pass blocking is just better than our run blocking. Also, the tush push analytics must be absurdly good right?

@SNYtv The game is played on the field not on analytics

This is how all coaches should answer questions about plays that didn’t go well that they are getting hammered for by fans. If the call works, great. If not, I like the data driven answer to give the fans and media context on the call.

What about QB sneak success rate?

The problem is that these numbers include teams that run RPO’s or where the QB is a threat to run himself. When it’s a straight handoff, it’s different. He is also basically admitting that they will not run QB sneaks.

@SNYtv Brandon Allen is not a short yardage runner.

Yeah, a 4% difference isn’t really enough of a difference for me to feel like you HAVE to do one or the other. Why not QB sneak? Everyone is going to talk about the 4th & 1 at midfield and overlook the 4th & 1 in the red zone at the start of the 4th where you decided to take 3 instead of going for it. That’s where you lost the game.

Imagine trusting analytics instead of using common sense Fucking braindead coach

Allen had a bad game really

How about a regular halfback dive out of eye formation

Gotta block it up

Omg enough of the bullshit

Be better

Frank it’s only 4% my guy… Cmon on!!! Way to lose the feel of the game.

So he’s saying that Saddiq, who has played football forever and has had to hold onto the ball his whole career all of a sudden needs a week of practice otherwise he wouldn’t be able to hold onto the ball if we used him on 3rd or 4th and 1??

🚨J-E-T-S ... Sorry to tell ya...

Solid answer. Like this dude. Competent.

There is no success running up the middle into a stacked box throe the damn ball

Would have preferred a Braelon Allen qb sneak but i understand the thinking

@SNYtv So were your running game was shut down and the only success was when you ran outside, you still do two plays into the middle of the line regardless if it was a shot gun or under center

How do we know we’re not good at qb sneaks? Try Sadiq or Allen there

One key main thing to remember: He is relying on stats/analytics to choose his key plays citing success rates in the NFL. That 71% success rate is obviously bolstered by teams (Chiefs, Eagles, Seattle) who have had better talent & coaches than the Jets over that 5 yr period.

@SNYtv The call was not awful. The play design was. Ruckert should have been on the LOS. The DE was able to blow it up because of blocking scheme. That’s a tough reach block for Ruckert. That’s the fail. If Ruckert was on the LOS, that’s a 1st down and game.

@SNYtv Stop looking at the nerds. Have a feel for the game.

Fire this retarded faggot...

Soooooooo, why not do what everyone else does and use the qb sneak?

@SNYtv Use Sedik more

Stop running the ball

Confirmed - Frank Reich is a moron

Uncle Frank how do u know you’re not an elite QB sneak team if u have never tried it!
