The best version is the first one in Holiday Inn.

Sinatra--probably the only man on Earth who could casually sing this song next to Bing.

It is my opinion that Bing Crosby had/has the purist singing voice in history.

Frank Sinatra HATED Bing. He would tell people privately that Crosby was overrated and that Crosby's vocal range was ¼ of Sinatra's. When someone at one of the UC schools heard that claim he compared Crosby recordings to Sinatra recordings and found that Sinatra couldn't hit Crosby's lower registers while Crosby could exceed Sinatra's upper registers and that Sinatra had a limited range to a single key. Then a possible reason came to light as to Sinatra's loathing of his elder crooner. JFK and Sinatra were friends. Sinatra had invited Kennedy to stay at his estate during a California visit. Sinatra at great personal expense built a Presidential Wing for JFK. J. Edgar Hoover heard of the upcoming visit and was totally against JFK staying with Sinatra due to Sinatra's ties to organized crime. Hoover pressured JFK's brother Bobby, the Attorney General to get JFK to stay somewhere else. They decided on accepting an invitation by Crosby to stay at his estate. Sinatra went crazy after spending hundreds of thousands of dollars on the 'Presidential Wing' only to have JFK stay with Crosby, a Republican!
