According to Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent, 10% of the federal budget is lost to fraud each year and according to Dr. Mehmet Oz and CMSGov, perhaps as much as 20% is scammed from programs meant to serve hardworking Americans. Today, I took to the House floor to share how Republicans in Congress and the Trump Administration are taking decisive action to crack down on this kind of waste, abuse, and fraud. President Donald J. Trump’s Task Force to Eliminate Fraud, chaired by Vice President Vance, is exactly the accountability measure Washington has needed for far too long. I am committed to working with the Task Force to protect taxpayer dollars and drain the swamp once and for all.
