We’ve seen a lot of dogs in bad conditions but I think this lovely boy might be the worst pain I’ve ever seen a dog in. We’d been told about him by a kind man in the community who found him but had no idea how to help beyond giving him water, food and putting a little electric fan on him. He eventually got through to us in sheer desperation. The dog has been there for days apparently and probably hit by some sort of major trauma. He hasn’t eaten or drank his water and he was laying in his own pee and poop. That little alley way was where it was all going to end very soon because I could see from his gums and other signs he was in big big trouble. We had to just go for it and make a stretcher with what we had and push through the pain. It took us 40 minutes to get back to Tina’s hospital and he screamed at every tiny bump on the road. I thought his spine was broken and was super relieved when it wasn’t. I thought he might be so bad that we’d never be posting this video as it might be better to put him out of his misery. He is very sick and has some stuff going on internally but it is pelvis related we believe. He is by no means 100% going to make it as he has so much going on inside him but we have some hope now. The team are in full action mode to try and save him. I called him Bear as he is a big fluffy gentle giant I can tell. I’m not sure how this story ends but it’s already better than he was alone in that alley this morning. He’s having a huge sleep now with lots of pain relief and meds. 🤞🤞🤞

Update on Tractor Trev 🚜 It’s not been easy. Firstly he’s got sick again, today he had a fever and his eyes were swollen. It was vital we got him to the vets but as always he’s just so hard to move keeping in mind he doesn’t tolerate a harness and we have to be careful with his neck. We brought Chow again and it kind of worked 😅… for now Trev is back in the vets and having his fever treated and to just keep an eye on him. Send love 🙏🏻❤️

Special boy Ollie found Irlam a bit busy for his liking. He was doing well in the Visitor Centre but wanted to hide when he came out. Em took him for a walk with Stark and he did so well, so we knew he was moving forwards. And Em had a plan. She popped him in the car and brought him up to Rescue World. Phase 2 isn’t quite ready yet so he’s staying in the caravan with one of the team. And Buddy has already been over trying to make friends. We can’t wait to watch Ollie come out of his shell in the quiet hills of Lancashire 💜

Shaq is back with us. I’m not meant to have favorites but he has always been one of mine. The hardest part is making the right decisions for the dogs on an ongoing basis… 🏀 We fixed him initially and it took 2 months and 3 operations. Hardly any vets would take on the operation and it was a case of nearly losing him. 🌴 He recovered well. I used to love spending time with him as we had such a deep bond during his recovery at Happy Doggo 🐕 Shaq was not suitable for adoption. He’s a street dog through and through. He was a bad around other other dogs and quite old. I thought long and hard about his options 🏡 We found him his safe place to live. Some locals would look out for him and he was in no danger. He had shelter, regular food and 2 other friends he knew. Shaq loved it there. 💊 I would call down to him every month with his meds and for a check up with some sausages. He has been doing great. ☔️ Recently with very damp weather and humid temperatures a lot of dogs have been getting skin issues. Shaq has some of the worst I’ve seen despite being ok 2 weeks ago when I last saw him. 🦠 Shaq has a bacterial and fungal infection. 🧑🏽‍⚕️ We’ve brought him in for a 2 week stay to get it all fixed up and all his blood work and other little bits fixed. It’s like a spa break for him. People were messaging me asking if I was angry he ended up like this. Not at all. Shaq is a street dog who has a great life but he just needs some medicines and care now. Just like any pet or other dog we look after. I always told Shaq we’d look after him no matter what so it’s nice to have him back for a little bit of pampering.

His images were circulating in various Facebook groups in our area, with people asking for help for this poor animal in obvious distress. He wouldn't let anyone get close to him. At last, we managed to locate him and we ran after him for half a day, 🤯 (given his injured neck we didn't want to put a collar on him). In the end he gave in and he let us take him. He was immediately operated on to remove the collar and treat his injuries. We wish him a speedy recovery because he both deserves it and needs it. It took him a little bit to kind of pick that up, but we so believed in him as a guy and his talent level that after a year, you could start to see it clicking. American is in a self driving Waymo When he got in he realized the estimated time to his destination is way longer than it should be The Waymo is taking him in opposite directions, is circling random parking lots and won’t listen to him He’s calling support form inside the Waymo and the only option they have is to have him get out and book an Uber and they’ll refund him But now he’s in the middle of nowhere on a highway…. It was only supposed to take 7 minutes to get home but the trip is now 40+ minutes in the Waymo…. And now they want him to just get out and book an Uber At the end of the video he shows the Waymo vehicle screen, there is another 28 minutes until her gets to his destination He says he won’t be taking another driverless vehicle. Had the most strange night in a LONG time. At midnight, my ring cameras go off at the shop with deputies all over the property... I have no idea what is happening, and it gets insane from there. Moral of the story? You cannot be kind to people any more. A former employee reached out a week ago and asked if his girlfriend (who is like a daughter to me) and his 2 year old daughter could stay with us for a few days. I told him we didn't have room at the house currently, BUT she was welcome to stay in my RV at my shop until we could find her a place. I would make sure she was safe, and taken care of. This young man has been like family since he was 13. I taught him to weld. I have given him vehicles, employed him multiple times, etc. Tried my best to talk him out of the stupid stuff he does. Just petty crimes, fighting, evading police, etc. I have tried for years to get him to just straighten up and be the man I know he could be. Day before yesterday, he tells me he has a warrant out for his arrest and I tell him he cannot stay there with her. I can't have him staying there and getting me involved with whatever shit he had going on. She is welcome to stay, but he can't be there. He lost his mind and called me all sorts of things as he stomped out. Well, last night he decided he was staying there regardless, and when she wouldn't unlock the door, he decided to put his fist through the glass. Drugs destroy people, man. This young man had so much potential and I have tried and tried to get him clean and get him to a good life... Now, we all suffer, and I have to get his girlfriend and little girl away from him before he kills them. Just insane.

A lot of our rescues are urgent, but this sweet little boy was in a league of his own. We found him with a severe neck injury from a piece of string that had been digging into him, but he was so incredibly terrified of humans that he actually escaped down a hole to hide. It took 36 long hours and the help of a kind local boy to finally bring him to safety, but we were never going to leave him behind. Today, that terrible pain has finally been lifted. He is still very nervous, but he is starting to slowly open his heart to our team a little more each day. The bravest little survivor is finally in safe hands.

A lot of our rescues are urgent, but this sweet little boy was in a league of his own. the fact this is one of the most emotional parts of this song and for years, it has been him and hee doing it and now he has to get up there and do this part all alone for an entire tour. it might be hard for us to take it but for him doing it, i can’t imagine the pressure he must feel having to carry that part all by himself and seeing him get emotional right before starting actually breaks me. i hope he knows he still did as amazing and magical as always. ☆🪽 𓈒 ྀ༷ ˳ ׅ

I first met little Tommy about 10 months ago… 🌴 He was about 2 months old in the jungle with no mum or siblings 🦠 He disappeared for 3 days with parvo and we thought he’d died. 🦴 He then had his leg / hip broken and hid himself away. Only a local lady was able to show me where he’d hidden 👩‍⚕️ We got his operation and rehabbed him for 6 months 🏡 Decided he couldn’t go back on the streets as he would die ✈️ Last week he flew to his forever him in England. He took it all in his stride. Travel, weather, new family. No problem for Tommy. Rehoming a few street dogs won’t solve the overall problem like I hope to do. But people always ask me how I get over all the hard losses etc. The answer is seeing the photos and videos of dogs like Tommy in the last 30 seconds of this video and the looks on his new mums face. 🐾❤️ Update on Opie ❤️🐾 He came to us last week feeling really poorly, and we’ve been working closely with the vets to help him get better. For a few days, it felt like we were finally seeing little signs of hope — a bit more sparkle in his eyes, a few tail wags. But today… things changed. Opie didn’t want to get up. You could see how much he was struggling, so I gently helped him into the van and took him straight back to the vets. We don’t know what’s going on yet, but we’re hoping for the best for this sweet boy.
