Freddy’s back… and this time he’s campaigning for the part. Michael Leavy just dropped a full-makeup short showing his darker take on the dream demon. The guy already played a young Robert Englund in Fear Clinic and has the voice and presence down.

It’s just an impression of Robert Englund and you’re never gonna be as good as Robert. The new Freddy can’t be a discount imitation he’s gotta bring something new to the performance. I think Richard Brake would be perfect

Personally I'd like to see a reimagining of Freddy where he's proven actually innocent of his accused crimes but is just so vindictive he wants to prove his own innocence just to kill all the victims anyways to be that fucking petty that you killed me so I will kill all of them.

Coll but but Naw the guy is too ugly, Robert England looked good as Freddy face and body, this guys nose is weird and he has some double chin going on and he isn't delivering the lines as good or close to Roberts. So NO Try again

Love the passion but this is imitation and cosplay. Extremely well done. But a studio is not going to hire a guy to do a Robert England impression. They’ll hire an actor who has an original take within the confines of the character.

Yeah, I’ve been saying Leavy has the voice down and the whole Robert Englund impersonation thing dialled in, but is that really what they’re gonna go for? Is somebody that can sound and act just like Robert? I have a hard time believing that’s what they’ll go for though.
