The Problem: More than two years ago, we set out on a mission to build the first professional video editor that runs locally in your browser. Imagine running Premiere Pro or CapCut inside Chromium. Until then, all web-based editing apps required your footage to be uploaded and rendered on a server, which comes with huge cost implications and forces companies to impose import/export limitations. But that’s now a problem of the past, we’ve solved it. No more cloud uploads, no file size limitations. Edit locally on your device and access everything instantly.

Capabilities: The possibilities are endless. Beyond the table-stakes features every pro editor includes— multi-track support, trimming and cutting, transitions, keyframing, audio mixing, effects and filters, export presets and codecs, real-time preview— here are just a few of the things you can do with Diffusion Studio Pro 👇 Agentic Sidebar for generating/composing editing assets

Unlimited free text-to-speech and auto captioning using locally running models (WebGPU)

Seamlessly lip sync footage on the timeline, powered by @synclabs

Plan, organize, and ideate visually with the Storyboard (infinite canvas)

Acknowledgments: Huge shout-out to @vanilagy for all your contributions to the project and for releasing Mediabunny - the best media processing toolkit for the web, which Diffusion Studio Pro heavily relies on.

is not the first though, there is one, some guy has been building, I guess I could say in the dark but it's very good. But yours looks pretty cool for sure, amazing work, specially because you are probably using mediabunny 🙂 Check it out.

With browser-native I mean WebCodecs powered. We released our first production app with webcodecs in Q2 2023. To the best of my knowledge wide was more Webassembly driven back then.

Got it. Any ideas why the tts is coming out like screetches on my test? you should also integrate moonshine for vision. You guys are building a monster.🙂

Perhaps try shorter prompts/ different voices

I did try with just hello 🥲 All the voices does the same thing.

Do sentences not single words. It also only supports English at the moment

Yep, will try, I had similar issues with kokoro when it came out and I was running locally, I forgot what I did. Thanks!

A much needed tool for the AI media toolkit, could have a huge impact on the workflows. you got the very essential features in: - lipsync - infinite canvas for story boarding - all done in the browser Cant wait to try it.

Lfg 🚀

Rooting for you guys. This is next level 🙌

@elliottcanbuild Thanks a ton

Seems cool

@konstipaulus Great achievement! I love when products recognize web browser power. The Origin Private File System (OPFS) helps diffusion and is superior to IndexedDB. I assume you're not using it.

We use both :) On chrome you can bypass opfs using showDirectoryPicker()

btw is it opensource? so that i could contribute?

I initially wanted to launch the open beta as open source, but after discussing with my co-author we realized it doesn’t fully align with our mission to deliver the best possible product. Once we’ve delivered on that promise, we may consider going open source.

cool! all the best brother.

Browser native video editing at a professional level could really broaden access for creators. Removing the login barrier makes it even more seamless. The interesting part will be how far teams can push collaboration and advanced features purely in browser.

Interesting.

Got early access, and I have to say - this product is seriously next level 🚀

Abysmal experience 😂😂 (I’ve never seen a better desktop UX tho)

We’re targeting prosumers who usually edit on desktop, hence the mobile blocker.

I’d love to know more about the tech stack / how you implemented the client side browser Do you plan to release more resources around it ?

I’d assumed clip champ was the first?

THE TRANSCRIBE FEATURE IS REALLY GOOD, IT ACCURATELY MATCH THE RYTHM OF THE SPEECH

Nice work! Is this based off remotion starter or?

Nope, we built from scratch. Media processing is done via Mediabunny, written by @vanilagy

It's in your DMs

DSPRO Looks incredible. 👍

giving inception vibes, congrats on the launch @konstipaulus!

It’s the vibe we were going for, San Francisco’s own version of Inception. I appreciate it 🙌
