Dirac's 1930 'Principles of Quantum Mechanics' revolutionized physics through pure mathematical elegance. His teaching style mirrored his work - pristine logic with zero redundancy. Even brilliant minds like Dyson initially struggled with this austere approach.

Money is to be made in quantum computing, but carefully. Know-nothing pumpers have pushed quantum stocks into fantasy land. I am a nuclear physicist and market veteran. Do not become a bag holder — get the truth from a nuclear physicist.

Freeman Dyson once said: “Dirac was a great teacher in the sense that he was always clear and honest. But he was not a good teacher in the sense that he didn’t help the student. You had to understand things the way he understood them, or not at all. There was no compromise.”

Freeman John Dyson was a theoretical physicist and mathematician Some of the Major contributions of Freeman Dyson: 1. Quantum Electrodynamics (QED): Dyson's work on QED led to a deeper understanding of particle interactions and the behavior of subatomic particles. 2. Nuclear Physics: Contributed to the Manhattan Project and explored peaceful uses of nuclear power. 3. Astrophysics: Proposed the Dyson sphere concept and studied extraterrestrial life and the universe's future. 4. Dyson Series: He developed a mathematical series, known as the Dyson series, used to calculate the probability of particle interactions. 5. Feynman Diagrams: Dyson, along with Richard Feynman, developed Feynman diagrams, a graphical representation of particle interactions. 6. Climate Modeling: He contributed to climate modeling and the study of global warming, emphasizing the importance of understanding climate change. 7. Mathematics: Made contributions to number theory and functional analysis. 8. Popular Science: Wrote accessible books on science and philosophy.

Well in defense of Dirac, his brain functioned in another reality altogether.

Not everyone is a good teacher. Teaching is more of a performance art, it is a skill. Feynman had both of them - geniusness and teaching ability, while Dirac didn't. You'll find many proffs in your university who are amazing researchers and scientists but can't teach.

Before I read Dirac’s book, I did not understand any quantum mechanics. Then suddenly I understood it all. Then after that I did not understand any quantum mechanics
