I was trying to hold it in but… This is literally the look of awe. I genuinely think this is when it really hit Freen that “If no one else loves her Rebecca will” I’m not saying she didn’t believe her the other times she’s said it because I think each time she heard Rebecca make the declaration it healed her heart a little more. I’m saying that Freen was at her lowest when Rebecca made those declarations and the world was hazy from her pain so Freen wasn’t really processing everything completely. She’s happy now, she’s healing, and she can see the love that’s in front of her clearly now. Before she hinted Rebecca was grown and could take care of her, but after watching Rebecca enter the stage with the biggest grin carrying that bouquet, I think she KNOWS Rebecca can take care of her now ❤️

Today is Tsukuyo's birthday! She was always cast as the tree in school plays because of how tall she was, and for a long time that felt like something to be ashamed of. But now she can pull off a disguise so convincing that even a careful eye might be fooled. This woman got an alert on her home camera that someone was trying to break in. When she speaks to him and tells him she can see him, he waves. 😂 Then she tells him to leave and that she has already called the cops. He takes off and hops the wall and is gone. Some people questioned why she would warn him that she had him on camera and told him she had notified the police. Others said he may have been able to take some stuff before the cops arrived. I would have done what she did. Why go through the hassle of repairing what he was going to break to get in, filing an insurance claim and him possibly taking something that was of value to you? What would you have done? Would you have just watched him and not said a thing hoping the cops arrived soon or would you have done what she did and told him to get lost?

my grandma is 85. she is a pillar of her community in Lujan de Cuyo, a small town in Argentina where I was born. today, she got diagnosed with dementia. up until 4 months ago, she would cook fresh meals every single day, walk at least 10,000 steps at 6AM, and do pilates 3x a week. she took care of herself at the highest standard and took care of others just as intentionally. she is the wise matron of the family that has held us all together. she is the living definition of discipline and strength and warmth which is what I admired the most in her. my grandma would knit and bake and sell what she made to make ends meet when my grandpa abandoned her with 2 kids. when I came along she used to take me on long walks and share songs with me. she taught me her empanadas de carne recipe when I started living alone and cooking for myself. through her lifestyle and her choices she taught me that there is no excuse, and there are no shortcuts. you can be 85 and take care of yourself like you’re 25. and you can do all of that on top of raising children, being a sounding board for others, and holding the entire family together. i can’t believe how fast her dementia has progressed. i am genuinely stunned. having my grandma change so suddenly from the superwoman that she’s been my entire life is a new type of pain that i did not emotionally prepare for. life is precious, our mind is precious. i’m lucky to have had 27 years with the most wonderful present version of my grandma.

In Somalia, when someone close to you dies, it is customary for family members especially women to wear white during the mourning period and at the ceremonies. This is different from what you see in many other places, where people wear black to show they are grieving. In Somali tradition, white stands for purity and the soul’s journey to the next life, so it is what people wear to honor the person who has passed away. But for Somalis living abroad, things can get complicated. I remember when I was a kid, my mother’s best friend lost her husband. Instead of wearing white like she would have back home, she wore black. I was confused because it did not seem right, so I asked her about it. She told me that because they were living in a diaspora community, wearing white would just confuse the people around her. Her neighbors would not understand why someone who was mourning would be dressed in white clothes. In the place where they lived, black was what people expected to see when someone had died. So, to avoid having to explain herself or having people misunderstand her grief, she decided to wear black instead. For her, wearing black was the easier choice, it let her mourn without having to constantly explain why she was not dressed the way people in her new surroundings thought she should be.

The problem is that the entire Tidal meeting was well documented. Alicia Keys is on record announcing that they were only signing “declarations” before Nicki even put pen to paper so she was clearly aware of what she was signing and it was not no damn contract. in the wise words of taylor swift, “a man is allowed to react, a woman can only overreact.” they cut the camera to her while she was still in shock & she took a sip of her drink. that is not even a reaction. this whole situation has blown out of proportion throughout the media. you’d think things would’ve gotten better for women in the past five years since she said this, but that’s not the case. this has made one thing abundantly clear, women are not allowed to react when they are blatantly disrespected. even if they don’t react, they’re still overreacting, since there is this perpetuating stereotype that women are “dramatic & emotional.” she’s just sitting there trying to enjoy her night that she was attending because of HER accomplishments & the records she broke with her movie about her life-changing, record-smashing tour. yet, she was only mentioned once, only ten minutes in, to be devalued to her relationship & to poke fun at the ways the media has been tormenting her for years. you can not tell me that is funny. she’s been through hell throughout her career, she’s heard these jokes a million times—she’s over it. she shouldn’t have to laugh at a joke that offended her to appease anyone. personally, i’m extremely proud of her for not feeling it was necessary to be a people pleaser & laugh, which is what she typically would’ve done int the past. that shows growth, that shows that she finally recognizes her worth. she finally realized that she doesn’t have to put up being painfully disrespected. she’s allowed to think a rude joke isn’t funny, it just made her uncomfortable. if she looks uncomfortable, it means he crossed the line, regardless of if you think it was funny or not. it’s evident that this was an under reaction. she kept her composure & responded to the situation perfectly. however, even though she responded perfectly, she’s still getting tremendous amounts of hate for this. this makes it abundantly clear that men in this society will always have it out for women who are successful—especially when that success was created all on their own, since women are not allowed to be successful in their eyes. that is blatant misogyny, just like the joke they think she is a horrible person for not laughing at. of course they think the joke was funny, they’re a bunch of misogynists themselves.

in the wise words of taylor swift, “a man is allowed to react, a woman can only overreact.” they cut the camera to her while she was still in shock & she took a sip of her drink. that is not even a reaction. this whole situation has blown out of proportion throughout the media. you’d think things would’ve gotten better for women in the past five years since she said this, but that’s not the case. this has made one thing abundantly clear, women are not allowed to react when they are blatantly disrespected. even if they don’t react, they’re still overreacting, since there is this perpetuating stereotype that women are “dramatic & emotional.” she’s just sitting there trying to enjoy her night that she was attending because of HER accomplishments & the records she broke with her movie about her life-changing, record-smashing tour. yet, she was only mentioned once, only ten minutes in, to be devalued to her relationship & to poke fun at the ways the media has been tormenting her for years. you can not tell me that is funny. she’s been through hell throughout her career, she’s heard these jokes a million times—she’s over it. she shouldn’t have to laugh at a joke that offended her to appease anyone. personally, i’m extremely proud of her for not feeling it was necessary to be a people pleaser & laugh, which is what she typically would’ve done int the past. that shows growth, that shows that she finally recognizes her worth. she finally realized that she doesn’t have to put up being painfully disrespected. she’s allowed to think a rude joke isn’t funny, it just made her uncomfortable. if she looks uncomfortable, it means he crossed the line, regardless of if you think it was funny or not. it’s evident that this was an under reaction. she kept her composure & responded to the situation perfectly. however, even though she responded perfectly, she’s still getting tremendous amounts of hate for this. this makes it abundantly clear that men in this society will always have it out for women who are successful—especially when that success was created all on their own, since women are not allowed to be successful in their eyes. that is blatant misogyny, just like the joke they think she is a horrible person for not laughing at. of course they think the joke was funny, they’re a bunch of misogynists themselves.

Today is Kokona's birthday! Not Kokona-chan. Kokona the instructor. She wants to make that very clear. She always tries her best to look dignified in front of the little ones, holding back tears even on the hardest days. Why did you want me to keep it a secret that you, me, Karen Read and her defense team had dinner at a steakhouse in Boston on July 23, 2023, the day after the Rolling Rally? I told you all about the rolling rally and you thought it was awesome. You made it pretty clear that you knew Karen was innocent and you knew the McAlberts were guilty.
