Maui is OPEN — only LAHAINA is closed. — Hotels are vacant, flights are cheap, beaches are TOTALLY empty, THOUSANDS of rental cars are sitting in a field not being touched. This is an amazing time to come. — I’ve spoken with people that weren’t even directly impacted by the fire that have lost ALL of their income. The government narrative in the beginning to say “Maui is closed” was a HUGE mistake. People are messaging me asking if they should be cancelling trips as far out as February. No! — If people don’t start coming back soon, the economy is going to be in TOTAL RUINS.

Thank you for all who checked on us. We are all still alive, but we aren't well. After 66 days of war & siege, there is no longer food available in the markets except canned tuna. Unfortunately, it is being sold at exorbitant prices beyond imagination, & despite the fact that we have become only eaten one meal a day, but the food runs out and we only have two meals left. We ask everyone to donate as much as possible to protect us all from starvation. We don't want food to satisfy us, but we want enough to keep us alive. 💡our DONATION link is in our bio #gaza #gazaunderattack

Horrendous. Heartbreaking news from Amsterdam. Is this what we have become? Modern day pogrom as we are remembering Kristallnacht. I am in Texas and it is middle of the night here as I write. Friends from Europe are texting and calling me about the horrendous situation in Amsterdam. In the night of November 7 in Amsterdam there were widespread and terrible raids on Jewish people. After the soccer game Ajax-Maccabi Tel Aviv, large groups of radical moslims violently attacked Jews, injured them, ran over them with cars… 💔 How is this possible? Why did it take the police so long to get there ? Even on European soil we fail to protect human dignity. Is this what we have become ? It's just terrible! Revolting! Imagine you are Jewish. And you know this: as soon as you walk out of your house to go running, go grocery shopping, go to school or to the synagogue, this can happen to you. How would you feel? I spoke about this situation of terrible discriminations this week in parliament. Worrying about antisemitism is not an exaggeration. Fighting it is our responsibility. The Dutch local government has failed. My thoughts are with the victims. I am furious with the Dutch local government. This is what we have become. Because we have forgotten that this violence is still possible if we are not honest, vigilant and decisive. If people who live in Europe are capable of this horrible attacks, it says a lot about how europe failed to impose its values even on its own soil. The escalating situation in Kasarani is deeply concerning. Our team of Advocates has been unable to gain access to Kasarani Police Station, where some Kenyans are being held, as the roads have been barricaded. We take note of reports of several persons who have been beaten up and injured by police. We demand that the National Police Service-Kenya exercise restraint from using excessive force against the people. We have also seen images of police indiscriminately lobbing teargas cannisters in largely residential areas and without provocation. This itself is a breach of the peace and order police are required to maintain.
