Moldova became a hub for fraud once the war in Ucraina started. Ucraine used to lead the way in this department, but with the war raging on, the money guys were able to escape really quick and take refuge in Moldova and teach the locals their ways. I was born in Moldova and I go there every year. This really saddens me because a small group of people tarnish the name of Moldova.

You mention Road Wizards in this post, is there something about them I should know? They are a big carrier for us.

Many of these MC based in IN and OH will be of this sort. I’ve notice Ohio with some of the worst carriers and it’s finally making sense

Communication about freight fraud matters.

I would really like to see Carrier411 punish those brokers that are using the platform to threaten carriers into doing illegal stuff or because they had a bad day or the carrier asked for more money than they think they should ask for.

Why getting rid of brokers would hurt small carriers—according to Steve Vest, Owner of Nationwide Equipment Transportation Inc. “I find it interesting that people want to cap brokers or get rid of them altogether. A lot of the conversations at the Broker-Carrier Summit were about the broker–carrier relationship and the value brokers bring to small carriers. Without brokers, many one- or two-truck operations wouldn’t exist. A lot of these carriers don’t want to handle sales or deal directly with shippers—they just want to run trucks. Brokers act as an extension of small carriers, helping them get access to freight and build relationships. The carriers who understand that and work with brokers tend to survive and grow. The ones who blame brokers for everything usually struggle because they’re not focused on building those relationships. Before deregulation, brokerages didn’t really exist, and the large carriers dominated. If brokers disappeared today, the big players would take over again. Small carriers would have a hard time competing on service and price or getting direct shipper access. What’s ironic is that the same people calling for transparency and caps on broker margins don’t see the bigger picture. More transparency is already benefiting the large carriers—they’re winning. The small guys are getting squeezed. So I don’t understand why anyone would want to go back to a system where the big players control everything.” From our latest 'Freight Gong Friday' Live episode, presented by OTR Solutions. Finally, Dr. Oz shined a light on the even bigger problem lurking behind fraud: outright abuse and waste in the healthcare system. “And I'll leave you with one last thought,” he said. “In addition to the massive fraud, especially from foreign entities trying to invade America using their financial tools and criminal mindsets, we also have 25% of all of our money being spent probably subject to abuse.” He clarified the difference. “And that's not fraud. This is abuse and waste. Money not being used wisely.” To tackle this, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services are rolling out a new model. “We just launched a new model called ‘Wiser’ with the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Innovation—that is looking at ways for us to identify inappropriate use of services, services that are wasteful and should not be offered to the American people because they could hurt them.” For Dr. Oz, this isn’t just about money. It’s also about keeping Americans safe. “They're not providing value for these wonderful Americans whose health is being taken advantage of to generate higher revenue for providers.” He closed with a promise that the fight isn’t stopping here. “We're not going to tolerate it anymore, and we're going to use data analytics, real-time monitoring—and unhesitating and unwavering pursuit of the law to make sure this happens.” This was a turning point in American healthcare. The era of waste, fraud and abuse is over.

🚨MUST WATCH: Trump gives a high level overview of the fraud they're finding with USAID and other programs and praises Elon Musk for his hard work. "I think you're going to have a lot to look at here, Pam." "Tomorrow I'm having a news conference. I'm going to read you the names of places of where billions of dollars of money is going to. There are billions of dollars being thrown away illegally. There's no chance that there's not kickbacks or something going on. When you give millions of dollars to someone who is just standing there to look at something, that money is coming back in some form. I want to commend Elon, he doesn't need this. He's abused by you people every day. He's got the credibility to do this. DOGE started off with 12 geniuses and now they're up to almost 100. People are joining to help them, because this is a massive fraud that is taking place. Then you have judges who help them that are activists. What they did to North Carolina is a shame and what they did with the hotels is a shame. They're making a fortune off of these hotels. The judge wants us to send the money to the hotels anyways even though they know its fraud. I think you're going to have a lot of things to look at, Pam. And this is just one group. We haven't talked about the Department of Education, the Military, many other things. Elon had an expression yesterday. He said "Nobody cares." It's true. You have to care, otherwise you can't run a country. What we've caught is billions and billions of dollars and that's only a fraction of the real number, because we can't catch everything. We could find a trillion dollars but we're being hindered by courts. I follow the courts, and I follow the law, and we appeal, but it gives people time to cover their tracks."

Here’s another example of KSTP running cover for Minnesota Democrats in an election year. Minnesota DHS, the agency responsible for allowing fraud to continue unchecked in Minnesota, is using a bogus KSTP article to downplay the scale of the fraud to the public. This is just shameless. Tom Hauser uses a lack of convictions as “evidence” that there is less than $1 billion in fraud without acknowledging that convicting fraudsters takes time. A lack of convictions less than one year after the magnitude of the problem was announced cannot show the true scale of the fraud - especially when our Attorney General secretly meets with fraudsters and pledges to help them. How much time would it take you to prosecute $9 billion in fraud, Tom? Less than one year? This is even acknowledged by Joe Thompson in the press conference that KSTP references in the story but doesn’t even link to. Some quotes from the press conference: “The fraud is not small. It isn’t isolated. The magnitude cannot be overstated.” “It’s a staggering, industrial-scale fraud.” “The magnitude of the fraud in Minnesota cannot be overstated. It’s staggering amounts of money that have been lost.” “Every day we look under a rock and find a new $50 million fraud scheme.” “Our problem is unique.” “We’re prosecuting what we can. This is far beyond the capability of a group of prosecutors.” And finally, when asked how much of the $18 billion spent on just 14 high-risk programs in the last few years is fraudulent: “I don’t make these generalizations in a hasty way. When I say a significant amount, I’m talking on the order of half or more… I see more red flags than legitimate providers, and overwhelmingly so.” With propaganda like this, it’s no wonder Democrats keep winning elections.

The fraud never ends Minnesota Rep Elliott Engen exposes the auditor chosen to look into the fraud cases by DHS cant legally be chosen because a conflict of interest The person at DHS overlooking it worked for the company assigned to oversee it and made a big retirement deposit “So about 40 days ago, Tim Walz comes out and he says that he's gonna get super, super serious about fraud. And then he decides that he's gonna choose an independent auditor of his choosing to go and look at 14 different programs within DHS that had been riddled with fraud. DHS just so happened to contract with Optum Services to go after the fraud within those 14 programs. The issue is Optum Services is actually overseen and owned by United Health Group, which is also not allowed to oversee Minnesota Medicaid dollars because they have engaged in conflicts of interest and absolutely absurd billing practices in the past. So there's layers upon layers of fraud. And when I submitted a data request to DHS to try to figure out why it is that they were contracting with an entity that they statutorily can't, here's what we found. It turns out that George McNulty, who works for DHS, has also worked for, you guessed it, Optum and United Health Group. He worked there from 2018 to 2021. And after leaving and then joining the state government, maybe he saw it as advantageous to shove money, your money, directly to his retirement fund. Which resides over at United Health Group.” “This is a prime example of big government and big business being in bed together and really screwing over the working class in the meantime. We need to call this out. We need to see it as fraud as well. And we need to make sure that we're holding our agencies accountable not only to prevent the fraud, but to stop the conflicts of interest and self-serving nonsense that's going on within their own rank”
