I was expecting it to eject a white surrender flag just prior to launch.
As a NATO member, France uses American catapults. This allows our aircraft to land on an American aircraft carrier and vice versa.
All French Navy pilots are trained in the US.

Cool videos US (super) aircraft carriers are amazing...it would not be a bad idea for EU countries to launch a couple of joint couple of these ships (at least)...though I doubt it
