ALERT: Man scams at least 26 women out of $1.3 million after pretending to be an NFL player. Daejon Labrayae Love, 35, created an elaborate social media scam claiming to be a player for the San Francisco 49ers. Love and his accomplice, Taylor Jamie Chan, 18, got women from California, Oregon, Washington, and Idaho to send them money for fake investments. “Chan and Love also hosted three-way FaceTime calls in which they showed victims falsified investment gains and encouraged victims to part with their money. Victims sent Love and Chan money due to their belief that their money would be invested in legitimate investment vehicles on the victims’ behalf.” Love met most of these women through dating apps and would lie about being a professional athlete. The FBI says they have identified 26 victims and there could be many more.

THREE KIDNAPPED VICTIMS RESCUED UNHURT, PART OF RANSOM PAYMENT RECOVERED IN IMO STATE. On invitation, yesterday I arrived in Imo State and went through Ogbaku, Ejemekwuru, Amakohia Ubi, Ndegwu Okuku, and Ireti communities. Working in collaboration with the Nigeria Army 34 Artillery Brigade, Imo State Homeland Security, and the Amakohia Ubi Security Network, we carried out a coordinated operation. With technical and intelligence support from the Safe City Volunteer Team, we traced the kidnappers to a farmland in Ndegwu Okuku, where security operatives engaged them in a gun battle. The kidnappers fled the scene and abandoned three victims they had held captive while awaiting ransom payments from their families. A total of five victims were kidnapped. One release yesterday paid ransom, one was killed by the kidnappers and three was rescued unhurt by us. The rescued victims revealed that the kidnappers are eight in number and are strangers speaking Fulani. One of the kidnappers said he was kidnapped last week Friday around Portharcourt road and they trekked to Ejemekwuru Information gathered shows that these kidnappers are scattered across the above mentioned communities and other parts of Owerri West. At a press conference in Abuja, the families called on President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Borno State Governor Babagana Zulum to make the safe recovery of the victims an immediate priority. They described the prolonged captivity as a source of “pain and anguish” and urged the government and security agencies to deploy all necessary resources to locate the victims and bring them home safely.

OSINT: This bandit unit kidnapped 4 individuals, two old men and two young men, one of the bandits Mohammed Abdullahi was seen using a sword to play with one of the victims. One important thing is this, the video was uploaded two days ago and for each of the videos uploaded they are in different locations, this suggests the period they were moving them to the final location which looks like farmland. The family of these people might have not received a call for ransom yet, nor know if their family has been kidnapped. .
