For the one crore 40 lakhs population at the rate of per capita consumption per person, we need 150 liters per consumption per day. If we calculate the total quantity required for Bengaluru is 2000 mld. That is, 2000 million liters per day is required for Bengaluru water sustainability. Right now from Cauvery Water, we are getting a thousand 450 mld of water...Now it is a time for all of us to rise to the situation and take steps to recharge the groundwater. That's the only way forward immediately."

How many times should taxpayers pay for the same road ? Just 2–3 months after patchwork was carried out, the asphalt has already deteriorated to the point where it’s difficult to even tell that repairs were done. When we spoke to the engineer, we were informed that the earlier work was carried out by BWSSB, and because of poor quality, a fresh estimate is now being considered to repair the same stretch again. This raises some important questions, not just for one road, one constituency, or one department, but the entire city. If public money has already been spent once, who is accountable when the work fails within a matter of months? Was the restoration inspected before being accepted? Have we our such contractor? Does the contractor have a defect liability period or maintenance obligation, and if so, why should taxpayers pay again instead of enforcing those contractual obligations? How much of Bengaluru’s infrastructure budget is being spent on redoing work that should have lasted much longer? This isn’t about targeting any individual or political party. It’s about demanding transparency, quality, and accountability in the use of PUBLIC funds. Every rupee spent comes from the people. Every failed project deserves EXPLANATION. Every contractor and every department responsible for public works should be held to the same standard. No matter whether the Chief Minister changes or not, the condition of Bengaluru's roads seems to remain the same. Just look at the state of this road. Thousands of citizens use this stretch every day for their daily commute, yet it has been reduced to what looks more like an off-road track than a city road. The entire stretch is filled with craters, broken surfaces, loose gravel, and missing tar. Driving here is not only uncomfortable but also dangerous for motorists, cyclists, and pedestrians alike. During rains, these potholes become even more hazardous, increasing the risk of accidents and vehicle damage. Citizens continue to pay taxes, road tax, fuel tax, and various other levies with the expectation of receiving basic infrastructure and safe roads. But looking at conditions like these, one question naturally arises: Where is the taxpayers' money going? Bengaluru deserves better. Bengaluru's Biggest Monsoon Tradition: Flooded Roads and Empty Promises This is Bengaluru. Looking at these visuals, one would think it is a swimming pool, not one of the city's major roads. The irony is that despite endless claims of development, smart infrastructure, and rapid urban growth, the same roads turn into waterlogged stretches every single time it rains. Just look at the water level. Vehicles are struggling to move, commuters are stranded, and residents are forced to wade through flooded roads. This is not an isolated incident or a one-time problem. It has become a recurring story across Bengaluru whenever there is moderate or heavy rainfall. The bigger question is: where are taxpayers' hard-earned money and infrastructure funds going? Citizens pay road tax, property tax, and numerous other charges with the expectation of basic civic amenities. Yet year after year, the city continues to witness the same drainage failures, poor road planning, and lack of accountability.Authorities issue promises after every monsoon, conduct inspections, and announce new projects, but the ground reality remains unchanged. Another Day, Another Babu!!! And His 100 Crore Stash! ACB raided HMWSSB Red Hills Division, General Manager Lakshmi Kumar’s residence today morning! Officials were stunned to see the amount of cash lying around in his house at Venkataramana Colony, Mallapur, Secunderabad. They had to bring in cash counting machines to figure out the entire stash. An estimated 1.05 Crore rupees Cash was found just at his house. There is also large quantities of gold recovered from Lakshmi Kumar’s residence. The value of the gold recovered is yet to be determined. ACB officials also found many property documents, the total value of the properties have to be ascertained. Raids are being conducted simultaneously in eight different locations to find out how corrupt Kumar actually is. Kumar’s relative’s houses are also being searched for his disproportionate assets. The officials will also open his bank lockers soon. So far officials found land documents for 3 acres in Nizamabad. Three flats in gated communities in Hyderabad and six open plots in the city outskirts. Rough estimates put his entire wealth to more than Rs 100 crore. When was the last time you had a ₹ lakh cash lying at home that wasn’t brought in for emergencies or for any household requirements?? HMWSSB - the Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply & Sewerage Board is supposed to be for water supply & sewerage maintenance. Basically people like Kumar will decide who gets a water connection and for how much, they will also decide on water tanker’s distribution and maintain Sewerage Treatment Plants.
