Fresno State does what no other Cinderella team has done before and brings home the National Championship (2008)

This is the greatest Cinderella in college sports modern history. They were a 4 seed so basically like a 14 seed in college basketball winning a national championship.

that ESPN scorebug was so good man wish ESPN would bring it back

Steve Detwiler, who caught that last flyball, was a DAWG during that run for the Bulldogs

Fresno native, Dad took me to watch this game 3. One of the best memories of my life. Idk if we’ll ever see a more Cinderella story than this

If I remember correctly they had to win the last game of the season just to get into the conference tournament then won the conference tournament just to get into a regional.

@MatthewMcvay13

Coastal was still a 2 seed, no way ppl are acting like these are the same

I miss Rosenblatt so much man. You used to be able to get like 10 15 dollar tickets in the outfield.

Lol Georgia baseball. Pathetic losers

@gabecamarillo_ What a great moment for Steve Detweiler, who is the hero of the World Series and one of our most famous @NorCalBaseball alums. A tremendous human being.

Didn’t Coastal Carolina do something similar in 2016?

NIL makes sure there will never be another cinderella...

Was Aaron judge on this team or was he still in high school

@gabecamarillo_ That was a magical post season for that team.

Shut the fuck up

Not ole miss is 22’?

Was so much fun watching them play.

And the mindset to stuff that ball in his pocket was hilarious. He was like that ball was going home with him. LOL.

@netflix

Oregon State, Oregon State, Fresno State national championships in a three year span would feed families if it happened today

@PatWaer11 It will never happen again, because of the NIL and transfer portal, but it was f’n amazing! Go Dogs!!

So many people think Aaron Judge was on this team.

that was 22 years ago??? I am getting really old

I remember that

Coastal did it in 16

So ole miss just didn’t exist? We were literally in the last 4 in.
