The Victorian people are calling for a new direction, and as Premier I will deliver it. This week I announced a Royal Commission into the Construction Sector, more support for Police and a focus on respect for every dollar spent.

Bittersweet to share that today is my last day at Wealthsimple As I move on to a new role, I reflect on the amazing work we’ve made together in just under 2 years. I am extremely grateful for the opportunities to grow my craft as a 3D artist and motion designer and will forever cherish this moment in time with the stellar WS Brand team.

I spent the day with the farming community and other role players in the agricultural sector at Nampo 2025 in Bothaville, Free State. I engaged with committed and patriotic South Africans who are dedicated to contributing solutions that will advance the sector and grow our economy.

This week my cabinet colleagues and I met with Inuit leadership in Inuvik, N.W.T. to chart a new path forward, together. We focused on how we can work in partnership to build the major projects — ports, highways, energy corridors, and more — that will create high-paying careers and long-term prosperity in the North.

When I interviewed for this job last December and was awaiting the outcome of the interview, my wife started ordering clothes and different shoes for me. She said they are strictly for my new job o 😂 I told her I have not even passed yet and will rate myself just about 70/100 and what if there are other people that performed better? She told me as long it’s what I want, I’ll get it. In her words, “I have told my God there is nothing you desire you won’t get”. 🫢 Starting the role next week.🫰

In #Rome to meet with my friend and counterpart Antonio Tajani. We discussed the Canada–Italy relationship and ways to strengthen cooperation for the benefit of both our economies and people, building on the Italy–Canada Roadmap for Enhanced Cooperation launched in June 2024. With this visit, I will have travelled to all G7 countries since assuming my role as Minister of Foreign Affairs. I also brought him some #TeamCanada Olympic gear. 🇨🇦🇮🇹

Facing a shifting trade landscape, we’re turning challenges into opportunities. Canada’s new government is helping the softwood lumber sector to diversify its markets and products to seize new opportunities, as we massively scale up construction on housing and major projects.
