The problem with brainwashing is that when you have to change or moderate your position all the victims of that work will oppose you. Identity politics is where you went wrong. Support women then you are opposing men. Support blacks then you are opposing all the other races. Do the oppression Olympics enough times you will eventually piss off a majority of people.
