Fritz Lang was a true craftsman, made great films. Godard is an artist, whom many people talk about but rarely see.

i'm very jealous of artists who can envision the entirety or most of their work before they sit down to actually execute it... i wonder if it's something i can work on or if i'm stuck the way i am forever...

Fritz Lang made many watchable films. Godard barely any.

I love listening to Fritz Lang tell stories. He was a rare talent with a deep love for his craft.
