What does a building need to be ready for? For a data centre in Indonesia, local and recycled materials help it respond to the hot, humid climate, while SmartDC improves efficiency. For modular buildings in China, recyclable systems support greener construction without compromising seismic safety. This World Green Building Week, see how CSCEC build it ready.

UPDATE ON OYO-OGBOMOSHO ROAD - On 3 March 2025, the FEC approved N147.89 billion for the completion of Section II (Oyo–Ogbomosho). - The contract was previously held by RCC (Reynolds Construction Company)in 2010 but was terminated due to alleged non-performance. - The contract for the completion was then awarded to JRB Construction Co. Ltd, a local (Nigerian) firm. This aligns with a broader push by the current government to use local contractors for key infrastructure, promoting local content, building local capacity, and ensuring jobs remain in Nigeria. - Using a local contractor (JRB) reinforces the narrative of “build Nigeria with Nigerian firms,” which can boost local capacity and trust. - This road stretches through (Ibadan-Oyo-Ogbomosho-Ilorin) which is part of a major federal highway. It's a crucial link for trade between the North and South. - The construction of the road, which is now moving at a rapid speed, is a testament to President Tinubu’s commitment and vision to empowering local capacity and completing long-abandoned projects across the country.

Building houses like cars? It sounds bold — but modular construction is more than a catchy idea. In this video, a Modular Architecture Engineer at CSCEC answers the questions people often ask: Is it just a temporary site cabin? Does it have to be a box? How is it transported, assembled, and made safe? Watch the video to see what modular construction really means.

We have been working around the clock to prepare for Hurricane Milton and to ensure that federal, state, and local resources are being coordinated in an efficient and effective way. We urge you to take this storm seriously. Please listen to your local officials, and if you are told to evacuate, please do so immediately. Do not wait until it is too late. Already, we have sent more than 1,000 federal personnel to be on the ground in Florida to assist with preparation for this hurricane, and we will continue to scale up those efforts. We will continue to do everything we can to protect the people who are in the path of this storm. Once the storm has passed, we will be there to help folks recover and rebuild as we are continuing to do for the communities in Florida, Georgia, North and South Carolina, and across the southeast who have been devastated by Hurricane Helene.

🚨 Mohamed Salah was asked which country he would support to win the World Cup if Egypt do not go all the way following Egypt’s emphatic 3–1 victory over New Zealand. 🎙️ Reporter: “Mo, if Egypt are eliminated from the World Cup, which team would you like to see lift the trophy?” 🗣️ Mohamed Salah: “Of course, our focus is on Egypt. We believe in ourselves, and we want to make history for our country. “But if Egypt cannot win the World Cup, I think many Egyptian fans would support Portugal. “In Egypt, Cristiano Ronaldo is hugely admired. A lot of people grew up watching him, and many young players were inspired by his mentality, his work ethic and everything he has achieved in football. “I think it’s fair to say there are many Egyptian fans who would love to see him win another major trophy. “Portugal are a fantastic team with great players, and if our journey ends, I believe a lot of people in Egypt would be cheering for Cristiano and Portugal. “But for now, our only focus is on building on this victory over New Zealand and making sure Egypt stay in this tournament for as long as possible.” {ESPN}

Thirty years after building The Commons, we’re back in Calabasas breaking ground on the next chapter. Thousands of construction and permanent jobs are coming to a city that’s well run, safe, and clean. When business and local leadership work together the right way, it creates opportunity for everyone. Our leadership in LA needs to learn from neighboring cities how to create economic growth that lifts up everyone.

Yesterday, I walked through a market in central Cairo, where the warmth and hospitality of local people really stayed with me. Today, standing before the pyramids, a symbol of ancient Egyptian civilization, I couldn't help thinking about the journey China and Egypt have shared over the past years. From political trust to economic cooperation, that friendship is becoming ever more tangible in people's lives. #ChinaEgypt #Cairo

Mr. Governor Seyi Makinde, Ogo Oluwa Local Government in Ogbomoso has reportedly received close to ₦18 billion in allocations from the Federal Government through the Oyo State Government to date. Yet, there appears to be little visible impact on the lives of the people. Could you kindly explain how these funds have been utilized and the specific projects they have been spent on? – Man says

Yesterday, I was in Ekwusigo Local Government to commission a newly completed 3-kilometer road. Built by the Ekwusigo LG administration under Mayor Chimezie Obi, the road was constructed with sub-cement stabilization, stone-base laying, and top-grade asphalt finishing. It is a landmark achievement. I doubt if any Local Government in the State has constructed a road of this superior standard in the last 20 years. Kudos to you, Mayor Chimezie. This is definitive proof that the Local Government system in Anambra is back, working effectively, and adding value directly to the grassroots. We deliberately restructured and strengthened the Local Government framework through our local administration laws to ensure fiscal strength and long-term sustainability. The result is what we are seeing today. The era when Local Government Councils were struggling to pay primary health workers, pensioners, and gratuities is over. Today, they are building quality roads and delivering impactful projects. The Ekwusigo road is a proof of concept for what empowered local administrations can achieve. In the coming weeks, I will be touring various LGAs to commission more projects executed by our Mayors. Across Anambra, we remain one large construction site, with over 137 roads and projects awaiting commissioning. The people's money is working for the benefit of the people. This is the APGA and Solution agenda at work. I also commissioned the legislative building inside the Ekwusigo LG Secretariat and gave cash awards to students and schools involved in the skills acquisition programme of the Mayor. May Anambra continue to win!

Introducing: Team1 Brasil 🇧🇷 Across Brazil, Team1 was already building a foundation and creating opportunities for builders before launching an official chapter. Over the past 1.5 years, we have achieved: - 30+ events, reaching 3,000+ participants across major tech hubs - 10 university collaborations, integrating Avalanche into academic programs and classrooms - Multiple sports-led initiatives, engaging directly with football players and local communities - 8+ virtual workshops, with 460+ total participants, from builders to developers across Brazil But the real impact goes beyond the numbers. We’ve helped transform first contact into real participation, onboarded the Brazilian community to Avalanche, and supported early-stage projects that are still growing today. From academic environments to grassroots communities, the focus has always been simple: Create spaces where people don’t just learn about Web3, they start building in it. As the ecosystem expanded, so did our network. From ecosystem projects to universities and local Web3 communities, we’ve focused on building relationships that actually create opportunities for builders. This is how ecosystems scale.
