This a message to my Arab friends and followers who accuse me of being a ”traitor,” a ”sell-out,” who tell me that I am ”a shame to Arabs” and that I should change my name because of my views on Islam and Israel/Palestine. Just because I am an Arab, it does not mean that Jews should become less human to me. Just because my name is Ahmed, it does not mean that I should be celebrating Jewish blood spilled in Israel. Just because I am an Arab, it does not mean I am to support Arabian warfare unconditionally. Just because my name is Ahmed, it does not mean that my mind and tongue are devoted to Mohammed’s 7th-century battlefields and books. Just because I am an Arab, it does not mean that I cannot choose love and peace over hate and bloodshed. Just because my name is Ahmed, it does not mean that my mind should be programmed to think that Jews are crooks and Muslims are saints. I am proud of who I am. But I’m not proud of my culture. I’m not proud of Islam. I am not proud of the Arab world, but that doesn’t mean that I hate them. That means I want them to do better, to choose peace instead of violence, to choose science instead of ignorance, to choose secularism instead of dogma. And I will die on that hill.

It is not racist to say "I am proud to be white." White people invented civilization and I am proud of that. I don't think I am better than anyone because I am white. I am just honest about the accomplishments of white people and the West. I think it is beautiful. The world is so deeply anti-white that every time a white person expresses self love, it is interpreted as an attack on non-whites. I love myself and my whiteness and I am not ashamed. I am from Gaza, and I never imagined that one day I would reach where I am today. Now I am standing among the mountains of Switzerland, looking around in amazement and trying to understand that this view is real. These are the same mountains I used to see only on my phone screen, and today they are right in front of my eyes. I am standing among them and breathing their air. Sometimes I ask myself: Am I really outside Gaza? Am I truly here, living moments that once seemed so distant and impossible? I feel such deep amazement that I can hardly believe what my own eyes are seeing. Everything here is beautiful and peaceful, but my heart does not feel complete. From the bottom of my heart, I wish my family were here beside me to share this moment. I wish I could see the wonder and happiness in their eyes, and that we could stand together in front of this beauty. I am grateful that I made it here, but my happiness will remain incomplete as long as my family is far away from me. I hope the day comes when we can all be together again in a safe place and experience a moment like this together, without fear or pain.
