A cop's obsession with making people SIT DOWN when they're outnumbered and show zero signs of fight/flight will never stop baffling me... its a fascinating combination of ego and stupidity that so many cops have. I never made someone SIT DOWN unless they were detained and the situation called for it. ITS DEMEANING and totally unnecessary in this situation. Handle your business and get the show on the road dummy. If he fights or runs or whatever it is you're SO CONCERNED WITH, you address it. Simple.
