11 wins, Pop?

But had no problem paying Becton $10mm a year last year. Just wild.

9 mil for Cole strange but can’t pay a extra 1 or 2 mil for a top guy lol

You are trying to solve a problem the FO doesn’t think is a problem.

Please ask Joe and Jim the difficult questions like you did with staley. They doesn’t deserve the benefit of the doubt anymore

great one last night. Anyone who reads this comment and not a subscriber, you are missing out on great stuff.

The Spanos family are cheap, & if you convince them to spend the money one time & they get burned they will never do it again i.e. They will never pay top dollar for a CB (JC Jackson) & now mehki Becton. Harsh reality is that the chargers will never win that way PERIOD!

Haven’t watched every livestream of every chargers analyst/podcaster (would love to sub to the substack, money is just rough rn), but I don’t see a lot of talk from them with this perspective. Think Joe is fulfilling Mikes vision

Every single one of the FA yall upset they didnt sign better be pro bowl level talent this year. Sincerely. They never said they would rebuild thru FA. Thats just you and the fans. They have always said it will be thru the draft.

You clearly have never won 11 games before. It shows

It's not discussed enough that the Chargers selected WR Tre Harris in the 2nd round last year when OG Tate Ratledge was still available (he went two picks later to the Lions.) Harris looked kinda promising but he barely contributed. So Hortiz passes on an IOL in the draft, is seemingly unwilling to pay IOL prices in FA, drafts a WR, doesn't play that WR to know if he's good, and now we end up with both IOL and WR as needs this offseason. Inexcusably bad general management decision making.

Pop PLEASE ask Hortiz the hard questions

I mean, there’s still a few iOL out there that are starting caliber but it is really annoying to have them operate as if they had 20m cap space, when they had 100m not counting possible restructures. My biggest issue is that.

You literally shit on the front office all season for signing a guy like this in becton… pick a fucking lane. Why spend 12 million on an injury prone guy when you still have the draft. Do you guys think that green bay just lets pro bowl guards walk for no reason?

Becton was a completely different situation from an injury/durability standpoint. Jenkins missed four starts in three years from 2022-24. Jenkins also was costing $23M+ against the cap in 2026, which is why GB let him go. My lane is objective analysis. But go off, king.

Your lane isn’t objective tho. Why did you only bring up his missed starts from 22-24? You can’t cherry pick what data to include and which data not to include. Also, GB still doesn’t move on just because he’s expensive. He’s high risk just like becton.

Packer fans rejoiced when he was cut BTW

My question is have they even tried to acquire any of these OL? Calls/ negotiations? Are these guys just choosing other teams or are the Chargers seriously ignoring the biggest need?

My glass half full take Pop: Seahawks won the SB last year with a similar offensive scheme, a worse OL, and Darnold at QB. With Herbert and a genius in McDaniel, we could still be a top 5 offense.

It’s important to consider that the Chargers may be in the mix for these players, just that they aren’t winning the negotiations. Not a good look for Hortiz. CA state taxes, Harbaugh grading at a C+ in NFLPA polls, and not bidding high enough $, has the Browns beating us in FA

Harbaugh picked Hortiz.

@ReenBolts #fireHortiz

After 3 off seasons, it’s a function, not a bug. This FO doesn’t care about the OL. “Tip of the Spear” just meant they were taking Alt instead of Nabers, which was the right pick. It’s clear they are banking on their 2 OTs to stay healthy and perform like All Pros.

Crazy part is they preach health and TED players but re-sign Pipkins who has missed multiple games last 3 years and has dealt with injuries during the season that “hinders” his play. Goes against the message

Any chance the chargers trade for waddle or sign Brandon Aiyuk? Or make any splash at WR or RB?

100% agree with you. 🤬😑😒🙄👎🏽 SMH

WHY ARE YOU GUYS SURPRISED?!! I TOLD YOU LAST OFF SEASON WHEN THE TEAM HAD A LOT OF CAP SPACE THEY WILL NOT BE BETTER. STOP DREAMING. THE TEAM IS OKAY WITH BEING GOOD NOT GREAT.

My thing is if you're not going to get lineman or resign Oweh fine. Save that money but then use it to supplement the team elsewhere ffs. A Devin Lloyd to pair with Daiyan or a Byard to pair with Derwin? Bolster the roster then draft some young guards. 60m saved for nothing.

I really don’t care your thoughts your no more than any other fan. Show me your resume of being a NFL scout or as a former talent evaluator? ⏰ I’ll wait!!!

The Raven’s mentality is going to kill this team. Herbert needs to grow a pair and tell the team to get real or I am out.

Fry those frauds Pop!

WTH are we doing?

COOK EM POP

I mean did Hortiz and Jim not watch the same o-line we did the last 2 years? I truly don’t understand how they justify not bringing in another guard. Do they just believe having Slater, Alt, and a new center are enough to protect Herbert? Seems like they are punting on Guard?

Pop you are 100%. You’d know more than any of us. This issue runs deep in the organization. It’s not a recent problem. That said it’s a bit concerning that FAs aren’t excited to play for this Harbaugh.

Fire Hortiz

Popper you better ask strong questions during the next press conference. You gotta have our back bro. Ask them specifically why they didn’t draft each of the line man we wanted. Ask it over and over and until Jim Harbaugh and Ortiz are just as pissed as us.
