He’s a completely different player than he was when he entered the league due to being a hard worker. He’s such a good dude, the amount of hate he gets is not warranted.

Honestly this is really well said. Appreciate the authenticity here 🫡 When you’re hated, you kinda have two choices. 1) Crumble and accept it. 2) Put your head down and work. Show them they’re wrong.

Happy for QJ. Teammates always have his back too. You know the guy is a hard worker.

I don’t think that most people realize that QJ is literally the same age as Ladd, Tre Harris and KLS. For some reason people think he’s older and supposed to be so much more developed than them. He just came out in the draft at a younger age.

As one of the best journalists in sports, it’s rare that we get a glimpse of you, Pop — so I love that you shared a bit about what you’ve endured as a writer. QJ seems like a great dude. Could be giving it back to Bolt Nation right now, but he’s taking his success in stride ✌🏻

I was wrong about him and when did Dissly learn to catch ?

Big props to QJ. He out his head down and grinded to figure it out. Now he just has to continue to work harder to keep what he has gained. This is the NFL. Guys are gunning for your job everyday. Nothing is guaranteed.

Do you know why Herbert got really mad on what looked like a read option?

@danielrpopper nice take. I like it. 25 year season ticket holder here. These players coming into the league deserve a bit more grace and room to grow. I'm glad QJ has grown and is standing in the sunshine. He deserves it.

I promise there are Chargers fans who are seeing this, liking it, agreeing with it, maybe even blasting other chargers fans for hating on QJ, and then posting later about how worthless Bradley Bozeman is

Well said!

Exhibit A 🤣🤣🤣 totally uncalled for too

I mean, I get it, it’s tough. But they are paid really well to deal with it. Just stay off social media and collect millions…

Anyone that was here for the Mike Williams tenure would know this. 8 catches rookie year -> 10 TD’s following year. I never understood the outrage with Q. As a young buck the best ability is availability. With time, the game will naturally slow down like it has for him.

The entire team had really stepped up. Herbert has taken another step and several others. Very interested to see them vs Hou. Surprised to see them favored vs the most impressive team the two months. Crazy.

Q needs to be part of the team's future. I hope they extend him soon. The team is absolutely better when he's on the field.

I think if he came in as a 3rd - 5th round guy it would have been fine. the problem was the expectations for a 1st rounder. He still seems to struggle against good defenses , but is doing fine against average defenses. His drops are way down this year which is nice, I hope he keeps improving each year like Mike Williams did.

He was used incorrectly in the beginning of his career. He was used as a deep threat and that wasn’t him then. He’s evolved into a quick hitting YAC guy and a deep threat. Good for him. Never look back and know your worth. Way to prove them all wrong. GO QJ

Pop you are a king at your profession. We all admire your work. Now help us get ole man rivers on the chargers coaching staff when his son graduates high school.

I apologize. I had in mind to say something like what I replied to you at some time. This just seemed like too good of an opportunity to pass up!
