It's a shame though that Trump and Bessent flunked their opportunity to re-introduce gold into the dollar system. I guess we will now need to look to China for monetary leadership.

Somehow I fear it's a last hurrah. The dollars keep shrinking in value. Now they are talking about printing a $250 dollar bill, I guess to replace the value of a $100 bill, which replaced the $50 after covid, which replaced the $20 since the GFC. Stablecoins won't fix it.
