How in depth was the boarding process on scenes with actors, or was it primarily used to plan for scenes with just the non human characters?

great question... we boarded the whole film, but only drilled down into detail like this for the more visually complex scenes, which were also used to attract financing for the film. for dialogue scenes, just a few rough thumbnails of the setups is all we needed.
